- thealliedhacker, on 11/12/2007, -0/+22Blogspam talking about promoting blogspam
BURIED - FetalSage, on 11/11/2007, -1/+21It's funny to read about a Google Ad article when 70% of the site is ads, still debating if the other 30% is actual worthwhile content.
- LimeParrot, on 11/12/2007, -0/+18Combined together... that's a pretty good system of preventing click fraud...
- TheSabre, on 11/12/2007, -2/+20Whoever wrote this blog needs to learn some basic 6th grade grammar. This may be the most poorly written blog post I've ever read.
- Buckro, on 11/12/2007, -0/+13you should practice conjugating your verbs correctly.
- floodyberry, on 11/11/2007, -0/+12If his crap blog has any worthwhile content, it's definitely not his:
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22We+always+hear+t ... - Wildhoney, on 11/11/2007, -1/+12I don't cheat PPC networks myself, but admittedly it's a good read to learn some of the techniques that people use.
- Wacer, on 11/11/2007, -1/+10Sounds like your job is to do anything in your power to cheat. By looking at you submission profile you are certainly biased. The story you submitted it for people who will go to any length to promote their site. Ironically the blog you keep submitting is on google.
- jasen, on 11/11/2007, -2/+8burried as blog spam
- edicius, on 11/12/2007, -1/+6It got banned for click fraud.
- sk83k, on 11/11/2007, -0/+5Err where's number 9?
- ukthom, on 11/11/2007, -0/+3supah lame
- spectre_25gt, on 11/12/2007, -2/+51997 called. It wants it's white on black websites back.
- FunkyNuts, on 11/11/2007, -0/+3Does anyone else hate the white text on black background design? I'm always left with "after images" in my eyes when I go to another page that has a lighter background. Maybe I'm just getting old.
- MatthewBlack, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2Personally, I find it easier to read. With black text on a white background I usually highlight it to invert it. Maybe cos I grew up on dos and then linux terminals.
- rootnik, on 11/11/2007, -1/+3What is the source? Anybody could write an article on how they speculate google detects invalid clicks. Buried for being lame, and possibly inaccurate.
- tuzziel, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2Sad truth is that Google is alowing this, nothing worse then to see my hard paid AdWords shown on some blog where it is clicked by some hippie all over again. Why is Google allowing those fakers? Those link sites, empty sites etc. to have ads in the first place?
- eclipxe, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2It was about 70 miles off...completely different region (San Diego vs. Riverside Co)
- MatthewBlack, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1They are pretty elusive. I did have to double-check on www.apostrophe.fsnet.co.uk before commenting.
- TerrorByteX, on 11/11/2007, -1/+2Regardless of the quality of the content, look at some of the items on the list. Click patterns? Google monitors waaaaay too much.
Recently, I was logged in to Gmail, and then Googling some stuff. After I clicked on a link on Google, it started to keep track of how many times I visited a certain link from the searchpage and even the time! Invasion of privacy much? - sirmasterboy, on 11/11/2007, -0/+1Wow, you look pretty stupid when you think that just because it didn't work for you, it wont work for anyone else. FYI, It was within 1 mile of my house, and my ISP is at least 30 miles from my home. I guess you were wrong but you will never admit it because people like you think they are NEVER wrong... I feel sorry for you pall
- IceChief, on 11/11/2007, -0/+1And its definitely not worthwhile content.
- inactive, on 11/28/2007, -0/+1Google is all knowing. I wouldn't mess with them.
- MatthewBlack, on 11/12/2007, -1/+22000 called. It wants its tired old comments back
Also, the English language called. It wants its apostrophes back. - spectre_25gt, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1"Also, the English language called. It wants its apostrophes back."
Damnit. That one got away from me. - kukon, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1too late for me :(
- nzd9f1, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1good to know
- essjay, on 11/11/2007, -1/+1You sir, are an idiot. Go here http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm and see how close it gets to YOU. Within 10 miles I would guess. If only you would have done you ow research like, say, typing "ip locator" into google and clicking on the first result. Like I did. And then get back to us.
Overall, this is a poorly researched comment. Buried. - IceChief, on 11/11/2007, -3/+3How about you finish middle school and do some research then get back to us.
Number 3 is total BS. A person MIGHT be able to get a general idea of your geographic location, based on your IP address, by doing a lookup on the WHOIS database, but that will only tell them the physical location of your ISP -- not YOUR home address.
Number 10: "Your website is not indexed on any search engine, not linked by any prominent website, but get consistently high traffic? How come people can access your website and click your ads?" So you are saying that if your site is not indexed on a search engine and not linked to by any huge site then people will not be able to click your ads? If you are trying to prove a point then you do a seriously horrible job of getting it across.
Overall this is a poorly researched and written blog post. Buried. - gregjp48, on 11/11/2007, -1/+1this really needs a better title, like
"how google detects invalid adsense clicks"
or something - IceChief, on 11/11/2007, -1/+1You sir, are an idiot. I did that and guess what? Not even close to where I live. But wait, it does show one of the main cities where my ISP is based. Oh, and I had done this before I posted my comment so I did my own research. :)
- IceChief, on 11/11/2007, -1/+0Alright then, what does that show? It shows that it might work for some, but it doesn't work for everyone. And I wasnt saying it doesn't work period because it obviously worked for essjay and yourself. Also, I said it gives "a general idea of your geographic location." And it does because it doesn't give your exact home address.
- Oztac, on 11/11/2007, -6/+1looks like I might get banned soon...
- inactive, on 11/11/2007, -11/+2well cheat which i use does not mean some kinda illegal stuff but some tricks and tips. So it pose no threat to me of getting banned. You can see the contents, i am not promoting any hacking or click generating activity. So it perfect safe. btw nice to hear from you.
