- jebus123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5They need to learn that you can't put the ***** back into the donkey.
- MeThePeople, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6congrats on bieng the last person able to make a post on digg
- udahlen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7I will not buy HD format discs unless I know I can rip them.
- xertys, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8@GawtMilk:
Changing the keys won't do ***** either. You can still decrypt all movies released to date with the current key, and once they change the key, someone'll just do a memory dump (as they did to recover this key; the lawyers weren't the first to leak it), grab the new key and start using it.
Manufacturers may "strengthen" hardware as HD players get more traction (a USB cable was the unencrypted weak link here), but it won't make any difference in the long run. - eq2s, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wow Digg is going nuts.
Diggs and comments are mysteriously disappearing and re-appearing. - stutte, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5welcome to the last story ever to be submitted on digg.
- Tiak, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5@cjpro
Woah, we can do that now?... In the commotion everyone else apparently forgot about this feature. - arcticblue, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Looks like the "Popular" column is gone now... Something is about to happen.
I think Digg is getting the Digg effect! The comments are acting all screwy too. - kryptogrowl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Maybe comments will be next.
- talbotlives, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3wow. digg has moved into complete anarchy
- InvertedDonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3they will reappear, they did for me on a different story
- wwwdot1jesdotus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Wait, there's an article?... :| no digg.
But check this out:
http://www.digg.com/security/Digg_Uproar_Video - houstonmacbro, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Since these companies are intent on treating us like criminals with DRM, it's not a stretch to see why some are breaking these codes.
- eq2s, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Submissions have been down for over half an hour now...
- sofaKing812, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2this is ass
- rebuilder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2DRM is useless, and the proof is in the laws forbidding circumvention of copy protection measures. If the technology worked, the laws would be unnecessary.
- madmage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Um... I don't think anyone can post any stories at all.
- MrViklund, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1(article) ???
Noooo, I can't believe it. An article? Unbelievable!! - arcticblue, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2What the hell happened to the Submit feature?
- WShadow, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1DRM?

- thtroyer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Sure, I completely agree with being able to do what you want with content you buy... but...
Why would you want to put HD on an iPhone? Wouldn't that be like running lossless music through $2 earbuds? The content won't be the bottleneck, the equipment is. - k3nshady89, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2its Errr , errr i tell ya!
- raindog469, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That argument is a bit like saying "Why listen to CDs on a lousy car stereo?" What are you going to do, buy the same movie or album twice? I'd rather waste bits than money.
You buy the highest quality copy you can get, and downgrade it for space-shifting as needed. I was doing it with CDs 20 years ago, DVDs 7 or 8 years ago. People are doing it with iPods now, and iPhones soon. - astrotrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Disney and IBM are hilarious in the same sentence....
"Gosh, I'll fix yer computer... **pulls out a wooden mallot**"
-Goofy as an IBM CE - wadaodi, on 01/06/2009, -0/+0DRM removal is developed to help you convert DRM protected media, like DRM protected music and DRM protected movies and remove the DRM protection to enjoy them freely. This DRM removal can not only remove DRM protection, but also convert all common unprotected formats, including: WMA, WAV, WMV, M4A, M4P, M4V, M4B, 3GP, AVI, ASF, MP4, MOV, FLV, MP3, AC3, OGG, APE, etc. Innovative record-by-play resolution to remove DRM legally from media files, return you full user rights.
http://www.drmremoval.biz/ - dominiccarr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I'm with you, I plan on buying an iphone when it comes out so i want to be able to rip a HD-DVD or a blu-ray disc and convert it to H.264 and play it back on my iphone. That should be a right, no questions asked. If you pay for something it yours to use and play back however and whenever you want on whatever system you want.

http://www.cafepress.com/shavedrhino/2920973 - meshman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"The crack first surfaced in mid-February on a Doom 9 forum. In an act of defiance, numerous bloggers have posted the key on their websites or linked to the website detailing the original crack."
NO!!! Jesus Christ, can nobody get ANYTHING right? Why didn't all this hell happen back in Mid-Feb? Because it had NOTHING TO DO with that thread! The recent hub-bub over the key was the result of an article describing a take down notice that accidentally included the key. It wasn't that the key was discovered by hackers like the doom9 thread, the irony is that the organization that enforces DRM published THAT key themselves accidentally. THAT is what started the Digg revolt, NOT the doom9 thread.
By the end of the week, the story will go "Barbara Streisand hacks HD DVD player to get key and upload it on every web site on teh intarnet tubes!!one!1" - jchrome, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1http://s175.photobucket.com/albums/w153/09f911029d74e35bd84156c5635688c0/?action=view¤t=09f911029d74e35bd84156c5635688c0.jpg

- heretrix, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2This so called revolt has shown me what a bunch of ***** people are. The "people" who are revolting probably don't buy ***** anyway. They are just a bunch of troublemakers that need their asses kicked. You aren't entitled to anything. You don't like something don't ***** buy it. Trashing digg is just pure thuggery. You aren't proving anything but what a bunch of ***** you are. Grow the ***** up. The best way to beat these companies is to not buy the stuff. The best way to show these companies you aren't a criminal is not to ***** steal their ***** you ***** idiots. All this ***** for what? A format that's going to be dead in 3 years?
