- stalefries, on 11/16/2007, -0/+12*Sigh* If only most of my friends spoke a foreign language. Well, at least Gmail is pretty good about the spam. I'm actually using it to teach Mail.app to find spam; since I've got IMAP, I just select the entire spam folder from time to time and tell Mail "This is all junk". Eventually it should be just as good as Gmail.
- pkkid, on 11/16/2007, -0/+6I don't think I had more than 8 spam messages make it to my inbox in 2 years.
- christianstrang, on 11/16/2007, -4/+10Thats a cool feature, most of the spam which I get is in english and I could reduce it by 90%.
- inactive, on 11/16/2007, -4/+72 diggs in 18 hour, won't reach homepage.
- stutimandal, on 11/16/2007, -0/+3Oh gmail, be my email! Just like we google (and not search) for "random keywords" we will "gmail" in a few years instead of emailing. :D
- shaherazad, on 11/16/2007, -0/+3He was referring to the other one. This one has only been around 12 hours.
- realityiswhere, on 11/16/2007, -1/+4Oui, moi je le trouve pratique par example.

- inactive, on 11/16/2007, -0/+2does anyone know how to save an email as a template?
i tried saving it as a draft but it goes away once it's sent. there has to be a way - eleven, on 11/16/2007, -0/+1I found that searching for russian / foreign characters (that do not appear in english email) and then marking for spam works well.
- ImASpartan, on 11/16/2007, -4/+5I only speak English... I only get emails in English.
No wonder this is a "Hidden Feature" - pilot3033, on 11/16/2007, -1/+2I get most of my spam in Russian (for some odd reason), so this will help for the stuff that slips by :)
- m0rph, on 11/16/2007, -0/+1awww... my chance for a moment of e-glory.. foiled!
ps: i'm the Alan that Googling Google thanked at the bottom of their post. I discovered it. :/ - ascheinberg, on 11/16/2007, -0/+1I do too. I did a test search, and it worked! This is pretty exciting for me!
- norz, on 11/16/2007, -0/+1This script seems to do what you want:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/11970
You will require Greasemonkey (recommended, for Firefox), or Creammonkey (for Safari), or Opera. - AndrewMB, on 11/16/2007, -0/+1Who gives a damn, how much of us are bilingual anyway?
- HungryForAPeace, on 11/16/2007, -0/+0will try this out
- dcd722, on 11/16/2007, -1/+1as much as I love this blog (its a homepage tab)
uh... wtf do i need this for? - StephnDolenc, on 11/16/2007, -1/+1supernova17: "2 diggs in 18 hour, won't reach homepage."
- RonnyN, on 11/16/2007, -3/+2Since I found that Gmail filters spam pretty well, I created a filter that automatically deletes it.
I never get anything in the SPAM label/folder anymore, but I'm totally OK with it.
1) Create a filter rule that has "is:spam" in the "has the words:" section.
2) Go to the next step (ignore the warning).
3) Mark "Skip the Inbox(Archive it)" and "Delete it" and create your new filter :) - inactive, on 11/16/2007, -2/+1OMG I wish this was here before! -.-"
- islingt0ner, on 11/16/2007, -5/+2supernova17: I bet you feel retarded now.
