The show itself, jokes aside, is mostly aimed at waking up sleepy americans so they notice what crap they see in the media. Think about truthiness.
If you participate in this it will create a great learning tool for kids: if you type "Greatest living american" in your search engine, you'll find Stephen Colbert. And everyone will know this information was purposedly manipulated. It might help show the kids that repeating something a million times doesn't make it true, just truthy.
