Suckers...
Don't use scripts/bots and you won't get banned. Simple eh? - sgtbutterscotch, on 09/18/2008, -4/+759The thing about power-Diggers is that they're making Digg exactly what it doesn't want to be. Digg was made for its users to discriminately choose which stories they like and to get the ones that a lot of Diggers like up to the front page. When there are so many top diggers basically circle-jerking each other's stories to the front page without even reading the story, or even if they don't like the particular story, but think it must be good since their friend submitted it, or think that their friend might delete them if they don't digg their story. In short, if the top-diggers are just going to digg their friends' stories without even looking or liking it, Digg becomes the media that Digg was trying not to be, in that, the whole premise of Digg is for all its users to decide what makes the front page, not some elite group that works behind the scenes an essentially chooses what the reader will read, i.e. news channels, news websites, newspapers.

- paradigm1220, on 09/18/2008, -24/+475How about get a life?
- justjeninsf, on 09/18/2008, -7/+436Hey all -
The use of any script is a violation of the Digg TOU (http://www.digg.com/tos - see Section 5.8), and while the team does careful analysis and log checking on user activity before we issue a ban, we won't necessarily issue any warnings prior to banning that user. If you have a question, please reach out to support@digg.com directly, however, we may not proactively contact users. As always, we can't discuss actions taken on an individual account with anyone other than the account holder, to protect their privacy.
have a good one -

Goodjob Kevin and Crew, keep hunting down these ***** bag bastards
***** Top Users
(F.T.U.) - PGPirate, on 09/18/2008, -7/+395It would be funny if MrBabyMan submitted this
- kingofspandex, on 09/18/2008, -187/+574Heads are rolling all over. They're banning everyone that is "suspected of using bots/macros/scripts" (except for the top users, who get phone calls and aren't banned even when they admit to using scripts). In other words, if you digg too fast and get the "itchy trigger finger" message, you're at risk. More social engineering from the dirtbags we made rich by using their service...
- inactive, on 09/18/2008, -3/+344Wow looks like digg is stepping up... good for them on getting people that are abusing the system.
- eschompthis, on 09/18/2008, -8/+308Its simple Digg.Is.A.Company, get over it. You shouldnt even be using a ***** bot in the first place. And by your post it seems your taking this internet thing a little too serious. Go outside
- therusher, on 09/18/2008, -21/+319awww, Mrbabyman didn't make the list? lame.
- kingofspandex, on 09/18/2008, -11/+300Come on Mike... you and I know these top users. Remember the emergency Drill Down when MrBabyMan was contacted by Digg and ADMITTED he used a script? I think that constitutes special privilege.
- smoothmann, on 09/18/2008, -27/+275***** YOU MRBABYSPAM
- redscofield, on 09/18/2008, -13/+251how did the net not catch Mr.BabyMan?

- uselessexpert, on 09/18/2008, -6/+167mr.babyman's life is over if gets banned from digg....
- gskill, on 09/18/2008, -5/+153Well good for Digg. Keeping the community clean.
- Cfahooligan, on 09/18/2008, -11/+156What kind of dorks live here on Digg? Using scripts?
- palmer, on 09/18/2008, -19/+159"Saved alot of time which I didn't have alot of."
Maybe you'd have more if you didn't wallow in the pathetic, depressing, and ultimately meaningless minutiae of a Web page. And maybe if you read a book once in a while you could spell "a lot." - inactive, on 09/18/2008, -0/+138It's the French Revolution all over again. Down with MrBabyMan and his decadent lifestyle!! His carriage ran over my youngest child!!
- skeletorcares, on 09/18/2008, -9/+139BAN THE BABY!!!

KILL IT!
Tell queen Dopplepopplus she'll never take me alive! - Stomper622, on 09/18/2008, -10/+116I'm happy to see this. Digg is no longer a community of people sharing stories. Now it's just 20 people using scripts to push stories to the front page.
I hope they ban MrBabyMan. Maybe it'll help him get a life. - SubjectiveC, on 09/18/2008, -0/+103Expect countless "How -User X- Was Banned from Digg", "The Life and Times of a Banned Digger", and "Buried at Last: A Biopic" stories to hit the front page.
- SethEllis, on 09/18/2008, -1/+99Good riddance.
- TheCoreh, on 09/18/2008, -3/+92Ha, this is the only place I've ever seen double-posted comments dugg up.
- MikeonTV, on 09/18/2008, -46/+131I agree it's because people are abusing the system with third party means, however I resent that you think those top users have special privilege.
- 2ktj, on 09/18/2008, -1/+81He will resubmit it in a day or two, and it will make popular all over again....
- TnTBass, on 09/18/2008, -14/+92As far as I know, they were only banning users of this particular script. Perhaps MBM is using a different script, or no script at all (perhaps he just sits around and diggs/submits all day - which he admitted to doing).
I think it's only fair that Digg come up with a good reason to ban someone. Being unpopular is no reason to get banned. If he's using a different script, I have confidence Digg admins will weed him out and ban accordingly (scripts are against the TOS - adequate reason to ban anyone).
If you can prove he's using a script on digg, take that to the admins. If you have no proof but you just don't like the guy, shut up please, cause I don't care to hear your complaining.
Now bury me for thinking rationally. - mlwarrior, on 09/18/2008, -2/+76"More social engineering from the dirtbags we made rich by using their service..."
I want people who use scripts to be banned. - inactive, on 09/18/2008, -141/+215I'm on that list (DeathWish808). I used diggboss' script since he wrote it. Digg never gave me a warning or "temporary ban" like they gave many others. Anyway, his script was great since you could shout to people without reshouts. You could also see who dugg your stuff at a glance. Saved alot of time which I didn't have alot of. Oh well... The only thing one can do is move on. Peace!
- sockpuppets, on 09/18/2008, -2/+73Damian, please, tell us how you really feel.
- dggeek, on 09/19/2008, -9/+80"What the ***** is a script?"
What the ***** are you doing on digg? - Jolly81, on 09/18/2008, -6/+77That rule should apply to all users, but now it seems that old digg elephants are protected.
- gipp, on 09/18/2008, -1/+68What is the motivation to be a Digg "power user" anyway? What's the reward here?
- jersey, on 09/18/2008, -9/+75It would have been classic if Mrbabyman had submitted this.....
- redscofield, on 09/18/2008, -0/+64you're right man... it needs to be power to the people... not a few script running elitists...
- badwithcomputer, on 09/18/2008, -10/+72already banned...
- ChayesFSS, on 09/18/2008, -5/+65Nice, now my ***** has a chance at the front page!!!
- KMartSheriff, on 09/18/2008, -1/+61KEVIN ROSE, ARE YOU READING THIS MAN'S POST!?
(caps were necessary here) - inactive, on 09/18/2008, -0/+57This is a good day for digg. :-)
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -2/+59There is no reward.
People like MrBabyMan drown themselves in the internet to satiate a hole in their lives that can't be filled. - ThatsMatt, on 09/18/2008, -1/+57Good to see some quality control
- inactive, on 09/18/2008, -0/+55No *****, what these people do isnt how Digg is supposed to work. Blindly digging without even reading it or posting comments of your own
- thedogfatherx, on 09/18/2008, -10/+64God bless you son. God bless you. That is the best comment i've read in a while.
