I'm sure their offices are closed on Monday, so why not recognize it as a national holiday? After all, if they can let me know when it's Van Gough's birthday... why not Christmas? When it's the start of Hanukkah, let's celebrate with a menorah. Why does religion have to be so taboo?
- Wildcat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I would only hope that they could display a holiday theme for each holiday regardless of which religion it follows, if 2 holidays appear on the same day, then show something for both. The people that want to keep the whole "Happy Holidays" theme going are the closed minded twerps that have nothing better to do with their lives. I say Merry Christmas to all because that's what I believe, for what ever you celebrate - I hope you & your family has a happy one
Pick the one that suits your needs
Happy Hanukkah
Merry Christmas
Something Kwanzaa
Or happy whatever it is you want to celebrate - heaintheavy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3They don't have icons for ANY religious holiday. What's your point?
- les8722, on 12/04/2007, -0/+0NO, we don't need to celebrate Kwanzaa, that's an African thing. We're not in Africa. they can celebrate that over there. Same with other countries. If they don't like Christmas they can go home. If they don't like what we're about then why come here in the first place? This is AMERICA, a country that was based on CHRISTIAN beliefs, and that's what we celebrate. Why isn't anybody worried about standing up for our own holidays and our own beliefs/rights? Isn't anyone worried about offending us?
MERRY CHRISTMAS AMERICA! - Waterrat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2 No one likes being told what they "should do"...Google will do what they feel is best. I don't have a problem with what they do.
