Hmmmmm......News results yet no actual documents.... - Jugalator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7digga, one of life's great mysteries... :-p

- webblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Actually, the use of an apostrophe to pluralize an acronym is a stylistic issue--the New York Times does include the apostrophe, for example. I also prefer CDs to CD's, but it's unfair to criticize one's grammar unless it's actually incorrect. (But if it is incorrect please criticize!)
- brayn80, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Nice one mate! Gives me a whole new understanding of Google URLs.
- ciops, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I always wanted to know that, but forgot about it when I had the time to research.
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Ahh yes, why would you ever want to go to Google and type in "Nintendo Wii" when you could simply type "http://www.google.com/search?as_q=nintendo&as_eq=wii&as_sitesearch=.com&
num=50&as_occt=title&as_qdr=m3" in the address bar? - Acko, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4this is good , really . continue with this please. this is a really good job.
- smellinator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@blahbleh: none of it was on the google cheatsheet. Unless my eyes deceive me at 5AM, I can't find the search QUERY STRING parameters anywhere on that cheatsheet.
But thanks for the link - some good info on the cheatsheet. - smellinator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I did not see the explanation of the query parameters on the cheat sheet.
- kenmantx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow, good article for n00bs. Just go to "view source" on the advanced search page and look at what the HTML form values...

geeee I wonder what lang_nl means... - blahbleh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2All of this is on the Google Cheat Sheet link: http://www.adelaider.com/google/ :)
- Mootabolife, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2this is the perfect party favor

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@webblue : So technically, KimmoA's a moron.
Oh look, I used my apostrophe right this time. - goodbyepolar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://www.searchlores.org/google.htm
- stu72, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2much easier if you make it just "g" then "g anything I want to search for"
If you learn the keyboard shortcuts, you can do it all from the keyboard:
ctrl-l
g t3hsmartkid
enter - fasdfa, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Can someone explain why this article is useful?
1) I can access all of this through advanced search. No new information is presented.
2) Why would I want to "Learn to create your own search URL". I can just set up the advanced search as I like and just save the URL that google generates to display to search results.
Article total waste of time. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That doesn't make you less pathetic.
- blahbleh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All of this is on the Google Cheat Sheet link: http://www.adelaider.com/google/ :)
- t3hSmartKid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Great tool in combination with Firefox search bookmarks. You can set up firefox so that you just type "google nintendo wii" in the search bar and it will do the search for you.
- jtrost, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I extensively used Google's Enterprise Search tool at one of my previous jobs, so I became well-versed in Google's sometimes funny URLs. Anyone who is remotely interested in search engine development, web development, or Google in general should read this article. You'll pick up some good tips on how to structure your own search engine.
- evilesttoast, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3If you type in anything you cant find it...
- dynamitedude, on 01/23/2009, -0/+0Google changes their algorithm all the time and it makes it hard for the small guys to keep up. http://www.fharefinancestreamline.com
- panique, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@Lyph4 - that's rich =)

- NuiLoa, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Kinda weird that these "pro guides" from this site keep getting on the front page of Digg. Seems like they contain little useful info...
Somebody friends with an editor? - MrUnderbridge, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1CGI is your friend. If you're clever, you can do an entire web application in pure dynamic HTML using, say, apache, python, and mod_python, with no javascript. Fun stuff
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Read this, you stupid *****: http://www.apostrophe.fsnet.co.uk/
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1digga: Because he's a moron who doesn't even know basic writing rules.
- digga, on 10/12/2007, -17/+6If the article uses "URLs", why did the submitter use "URL's"?
What is Digg?
