online.wsj.com — Microsoft, AT&T, Time Warner and other large Internet and media companies aim to encourage antitrust regulators to scrutinize Google's planned purchase of Internet-ad-services firm DoubleClick, saying the deal would give the Web giant a firm grip on online advertising.

  • SteveMax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Divide and Conquer. That's basically what they did with IE, because of course Netscape's monopoly was bad (but theirs isn't). Competition is good as long as it's good for them.
