Google bans anyone under 18 from Orkut!

orkut.com — I just discovered that Orkut's now open to the public & decided to give it a try. While reading the TOS, found to my surprise that you may not use Orkut.com if you are under 18.As a company, how can Google justify cutting out an entire generation from usage of one of their apps. Are they trying to be LinkedIn or avoid lawsuits regarding pedophiles

  • boobysaurus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you aren't 18 smokescreen, then you should be used to this. Under 18 you can't do a lot of things, this isn't cutting out an entire generation. That's like saying tabacco companies are not allowing an entire generation to enjoy smooth, full flavored cigarettes, or alcohol companies barring 16 year olds from a tall one, or on he rocks with a twist.
    Google, like anyone else can set their rules, it protects the company as well as it's users.

    Don't worry one day you'll be old enough to enjoy all these things.
