http://www.digg.com/links/Now,_GTalk_and_MORE...from_where_The_Internet_of_course_ - Endpoint, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Gah, I'd love to have Picasa integrated properly with Flickr.. it'd make uploading photos a much easier task.
- Judman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is it just me, or is the "No-icon" picture the same as diggs? Or is the icon royalty-free?
- Merlinhoot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet!
- energyblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Everyone make the accsional misstake.
- WackyT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yup. It's a dupe of a 68 day old post. Nice work Kevin.
- XStatic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Definitely shows a weakness in digg if Kevin posts dupes..
- tehmoth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0if it uses flash then its at most web 1.5 or even 1.0, not web 2.0
- Kiba, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This seriously look like a dupe,
Who care?
DUGG! - SATURN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sounds cool
- stynesteen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's a new release, that shouldn't count as dupe. DUGG!
- accidental, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Actually, it isnt that cool. Seemed kind of pointless to me? When i chat with ppl i prefer a lightweight client and small window i can move around or hide. Having to have it all pushed in with the browser is sort of lame imho.
Also, this story is pretty old. - brucebeh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is sooooooo cool!
- mdweaver7485, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was going to say dupe, but it turns out you posted this just moments before me... my bad. DUGG.
- DiggMyOwnGrave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have to admit that I didn't go much past the description on the link, but it seems to me that I can open all of these websites + apps + more and my computer becomes (thundering voice) "A COMMUNICATIONS.... MEGA-PACKAGE!". Why in the world do I need a flash app to smash it all together. I can't be bothered actually investigating to find out. Someone tell me, if the even is a reason.
- nstern2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I remember last time this was posted, It didn't work. Now that it does work I Can see that it is nothing special.
- lofi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Truly a revolutionary concept combining chat, e-mail, digg, flickr, youtube, rss feeds and you name it into one easy to use and maintain flash app. I hear a lot of people complaining about flash, but try it for yourself and you'll see it's very light-weight, lag-free client, not a CPU hog like lots of other 3rd party (non web-based apps). If you're really concerned about privacy, go ahead and sign up another Gmail account... after all it's free!
- j0dnet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Gtalkr is quite old actually but not very publicised, and yes, it's web 2.0 So everybody slam the server becasue it uses More Ajax than Mc Donalds [ http://www.bobthejanitor.com/cpc04969.html ] .
- GaryKing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Reported as old news. Sorry, Kevin.
- Metal_Hurlant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0> if it uses flash then its at most web 1.5 or even 1.0, not web 2.0
Haven't you heard? Flash is Web 2.5!
Seriously, flash-haters used to hate javascript too. People started to use javascript sanely, and everything worked out fine. Same deal here. - mathew_bug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0*an
- mathew_bug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How about a Operative System to bring everything together?
- aceboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What I like about this service is that it brings together the best features of many companies. In Windows Messenger I can view MSN Spaces, but I can't view contacts Flickr photos. In Google Talk I can send GMail's, but I cannot view a users YouTube videos. I think it is valuable having a third party bring everything together - and there is a potential for more.
- How about clicking on a Google contact and seeing their digg user name, the podcasts they subscribe to, etc. - mathew_bug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0*whatever
- woodie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Old news but I love Gtalkr so +Digg anyway.
- theundone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've used it a little. It's pretty nice for a web app and I like how you can customize the content, but really who wants to chat in a webpage all the time?
- IngisKahn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0
Thank you Privoxy! - Lindsay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet. This will definitely be on Diggnation.
- gregh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah, but does it work with picasa
- CatCubed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0seems to me like a combination of lots of great things that don't really go together. I don't really do emails or chat while I'm watching videos or flickr. I may do them all but I have little reason to do them all at the same time on the same page.
- one111one1one11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is really funny!
- Imaiden22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0last time this was posted was just online gtalk...this time its got flickr and youtube, so its not a dupe folks! i got your back kevin, and i also do remember the whole scam with stealing gmail passwords but who knows this might be legit...
- captainjy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0More lame *****...
- TheRealPod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0site is Diggerated
- ashtonium, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah, i'm definitely not giving them my google account
- MemoryDump, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is why I still wish that Google would have gotten flickr instead of Yahoo. Picasa and Flickr would have been the PERFECT combo!
- WackyT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1LOL! Now I know banned is Innovate / Innovative.
