- onebigword, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There's something fishy about this. It links to google local for Ireland and the UK, but it's not a google ad. Here's the source of the ad:

- rbuckley79, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Confirmed at Bebo.com and pczone.co.uk viewed from a uk IP.
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I'm a little suspicious as well. I will wait for confirmation. If this is true, then I'm slightly disappointed with Google, but not enough to actually care (Hey, they're an advertising company. And at least their ad isn't flashing.. or making noise.. or telling me to catch ten watermelons for my free iPod. )
- vhsbeta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hopefully someone from the UK will see the ads on the pages I mention and post independent verification (you won't be able to if you're outwith the UK as they are geo-targeted). Did you download the pack of all ten of the ads?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Agreed, they look a little rough around the edges. Anyways, I wouldn't see them anyways (Thanks Adblock!) but they don't look too annoying.
- ghelton, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Those ads couldn't have been done by google, they look horible, look at the shape of the little google map indicators they dont even look right. Im calling BS.
ps: look at the sites he mentions, no where to be found? - Matthias, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes I mentioned that in the story - the ads are being served by TangoZebra, which is a UK ad agency that sells flash advertising.
- Didoz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0That's true, i agree with matthias, they look a little rough around the edges, AdBlock is the best for those things :)
