Google Powered BitTorrent Seach Engines

torrentfreak.com — Running a BitTorrent site can be quite costly. Most of the larger sites need over a dozen servers to keep everything running smoothly. There are some scalable alternatives for BitTorrent startups though. Two relatively unknown meta-search engines have taken a different route by using Google’s App Engine, which provides optimal scalability.

    Course when your daily ad impressions is in the millions or tens of.... those dozen servers aren't that big an overhead.

  • str3ama, on 11/23/2008, -0/+2Snagging the new Tombraider thanks to Google's caching of a torrent site that is down, the torrent is hosted elsewhere, but the actual site is down, without the cache I would not have been able to get the link to the torrent. While that's not quite what the article talks about (cache that is), I must say Google has made it quite easier to find stuff - including pirated files :D
