- inactive, on 02/02/2009, -0/+11The should make a Google Vagina. We need a program to help us explore this dark and mysterious region.

Burned, sunburner - perrym, on 02/02/2009, -1/+9in before 'daily mail is lame' comment.
- Eriksrocks, on 02/03/2009, -0/+7This is incorrect. You can't actually see things on the bottom of the ocean. Only topographic data is provided. Ars Technica correctly states, "While you cannot dive to actually visit and zoom around underwater landmarks like shipwrecks, Google does provide a wealth of embedded content from sites like Wikipedia, National Geographic, and YouTube for many significant locations."
http://arstechnica.com/software/news/2009/02/hands ... - StarExtreme, on 02/02/2009, -0/+7I found Cthulhu.

- MrJagil, on 02/02/2009, -0/+6I'm gonna reply to one of the top comments just to ***** you up!
- OmegaWolf, on 02/02/2009, -0/+6How does that work? Can satellites in outer space actually see all the way to the ocean bottom? That's amazing!
- cawpin, on 02/02/2009, -0/+5That is a very dangerous question on here.
- babyheadout, on 02/02/2009, -0/+5All I found was a yellow sponge with quadrilateral pants
- Osirus1156, on 02/02/2009, -0/+5You can explore that trench in an F-16. Because you can fly underwater!
- jumpassel, on 02/02/2009, -0/+5Will there be an option to calculate travel time both by boat and by swimming?
- HalloweenWizard, on 02/02/2009, -0/+5Google just keeps on giving these amazing programs free of cost i wish they would open their own auction site too.
- benologist, on 02/02/2009, -0/+5youporn.com
- sunburner, on 02/03/2009, -0/+4The time stamp reveals the truth, I'm not afraid of YOU!!!
- Hermmunster, on 02/02/2009, -0/+4He's an alien and wouldn't be underwater.
- DBeta, on 02/02/2009, -2/+6I found Jesus.
- McNash, on 02/02/2009, -1/+5Yaaaaar!
- Smokeydabear, on 02/02/2009, -0/+4I hope they do Great Lakes shipwrecks. I live on Lake Huron and there are a ton of awesome wrecks out there. Many of them are preserved well do to the very cold fresh water.
- jaybuddy, on 02/02/2009, -0/+3That's awesome!
- casspa, on 02/02/2009, -19/+22But do I have to be able to run Crysis?

- musntSurfatWork, on 02/02/2009, -1/+4I found a drowned digger with his penis lodged in a blowhole
- Rosco, on 02/03/2009, -0/+3You can see the Francisco Morizon quite easily. But then again, that one has been above water since it ran aground back in the 60's. Not much left of her though, see it while you still can.
- antdude, on 02/02/2009, -0/+3I found Davey Jones' locker!
- loudog, on 02/03/2009, -0/+3Google Gay-Dar.
- MrJagil, on 02/03/2009, -0/+3*****...
- koolgiy, on 02/03/2009, -1/+3Unfortunatly you will see when you download the Google Earth 5 beta, that it is just a layer (that is pretty blurry at close range) of different luminance of blues, coordinating to the depth of ocean floor. Its still neat, but not nearly as cool as it sounds.
- macewan, on 02/04/2009, -1/+3Thanks for that. Nobody has said this so far.
- dannybull, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2don't dig him down, maybe he used the new time control feature
- AndrewMoyer, on 02/04/2009, -0/+2I'm admitting here that I didn't even bother to RTFA before I made this post, and had a complete lack of understanding of the new feature.
I actually have to say, this does look pretty cool, but other than the "wow" eye-candy bonus points it adds when you take a glance at it, I won't ever actually use it for anything real. I suspect unless you are a scuba diver or a deep sea fisherman, you probably won't have much use for it either. - Moocowz, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2I checked, there's just some planes and boats, nothing unusual
- Airmaxx23, on 02/02/2009, -0/+2It's already been posted!!!
- Moocowz, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2surprisingly not as trench-like as I thought it would be. But more than enough room for an X-wing.
