- twatwaffle, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Umm... as someone who uses google often, this is either a "No *****", "Duh", or "File under 'a' for ***** I already knew".
Either one of the three above would appropriately respond to the digg article above.
Seriously, how is this on the front page of digg? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5It's not new, it's relevance. Google has been indexing blogs since they were called geocities. If you search for something the lamosphere has picked up and kicked around you will undoubtably see blogs in the results.
With the screenshot, that is just 'expanded' results, you will often see books, music and other subsets detailed in that way. - Ninjab3ar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah, it came to my mind immediately after the editing time expired.
- spliffy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1in 'mercia we say 'has'
- MySchizoBuddy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I believe those are trackbacks
- kazzyD, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Computers.net has an interesting take:
"Here's my question: Why hasn't Google done this already? And not only for blog searches but perhaps even for news, pictures, and/or video. The big three, for me at least, would be regular search results, blog posts, and news. I'd say that over half of my searches I do three times. Why not put in my search query once and get the top 10 results from each category on the same page?"

It is new, That's the point. Nobody is suggesting that google have only just started indexing blogs, The point is they are giving blogs a seperate section on google search instead of bundling them in with regular SERPS. - thegoodtomchi, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2A week ago Yahoo started integrating Yahoo Answers results into their search page: http://www.ysearchblog.com/archives/000382.html
- Karp, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Ok, I really have to ask now. Why do blogs linked from Digg so often have useless quotes as comments?
- CaptainDuh, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I can't believe how lame all you all are. It's clear that most of your didn't even read the guys blog post, based on your comments. What a bunch of canards.
- Burmask, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1That's like saying - Google now has ads on the search results page.
- littleidiot, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3did you mean indexing groups since Deja News? i'm not understanding the blog/geocities reference.
- berrii28, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0It would work for mortgages, dental plans and mesothelioma if someone had a blog on those subjects. If you do a search on mortgages, all platforms whether it be websites or blogs will appear in the search results.
- Ninjab3ar, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3I read the first sentence and I realised this blog was just a lame article with more grammatical errors than the inquirer.
"Google have been so busy releasing beta after beta"
no digg.
