- swmbuk, on 04/24/2009, -0/+11No more getting ripped off at the electronics store and told "this is the best deal anywhere". From now on I'll shove my phone in their face!
- Grahamcracker, on 04/24/2009, -0/+8That would be the Android based phone mentioned above, the G-1. Not so much their own device per-se, just the OS. There are plans for future phones to run Android as well.
- Dumbledorito, on 04/24/2009, -0/+5There's an existing app called "ShopSavvy" that turns your camera into a barcode reader. It can look up local prices in your area on an item, as well as comparable options on the net.
- aladrin, on 04/24/2009, -0/+3There are other apps just like it, and some are better than others. I recommend trying them all, since they're all free. (At least, the ones I saw were.)
- Grahamcracker, on 04/24/2009, -1/+4I hope that something like this or the Save Benjis app comes to the Palm Pre as well, I'm looking forward to seeing what will be developed for Web OS on that sexy Pre hardware. My roommate has the Save Benjis app, I'm always impressed that he can just snap a picture of the barcode on a product, then see if we should be shopping somewhere else. I want that for myself. : /
- TheXuu, on 04/24/2009, -0/+3Holy Fudge Ads. Lame.
- ThrillSeeker, on 04/24/2009, -0/+3BREAKING: You can use browse web pages on your phone!
- ibirds4, on 04/24/2009, -0/+1I've always been able to do this on my iphone. I don't get what the news is.
I got a headline GOOGLE BRINGS WORLDS BEST SEARCH ENGINE TO IPHONE. - cosequin, on 04/24/2009, -0/+1I've got this already, thought not nearly as elegant. It's called Google Mobile sms: 466453
- TheGreatBelow, on 04/24/2009, -0/+1Google Product Search?
Oh, you mean Froogle. - browe07, on 04/24/2009, -0/+1This sucks! The mobile version doesn't return the same number of hits. I just tried to go to froogle.com and search for power strip which pulls pages and pages of results. But on my phone which used to go to froogle, now it goes to the mobile version which says no products match the search. Hopefully it gets better soon.
Anyone know how to go to force your phone to go to the "normal" site? - Nelagster, on 04/24/2009, -0/+1i dont believe you

- Megor, on 04/24/2009, -2/+2This is stupid, this is not an application, it's using a part of google.com to do searches.
- mystagogue, on 04/24/2009, -1/+1http://mobile.buzzillions.com/ is better, although they need a search suggestion feature like Google's
