- kkeith02, on 11/27/2007, -1/+59Google Cavity Search? Man, they really do mean what they say about organizing all of the world's crap.
- MikeonTV, on 11/27/2007, -1/+38How is the 'Street View' team going to pull this one off?
- MJ420, on 11/27/2007, -2/+33MUHAHAHAHA
"...I was shocked when I saw it," exclaims Larry Blender of Carson City. "I mean, one, where did they get a 3-D rendering of my ass, and, two, does my ass really look like that?"
Oh Man, that really cracked me up :) - spidoman, on 11/27/2007, -1/+13Is that why you're spewing crap from your mouth?
- kmattso, on 11/27/2007, -0/+12The most exciting feature will be 'Get directions'.
- Glansbourg, on 11/27/2007, -1/+9huh?
- bigtizzle, on 11/27/2007, -0/+8"Where is the clitoris? On the internet it said 'at the crest of the labia.' What is that? What does the female vagina look like?" -Dwight Schrute
- hmunkey, on 11/27/2007, -0/+7I get to search BOOBIES!
- Goldkill, on 11/27/2007, -0/+7Goatse 2.0
- NYC83, on 11/27/2007, -3/+9i know this story is a joke, but see this post, we're not so far off: http://www.digg.com/tech_news/23andme_to_launch_Mo ...
- ryodoan, on 11/27/2007, -0/+6Duh?
- sanman, on 11/27/2007, -0/+4That's from the pay-per-view feature, Google Cavity Search
- Brady, on 11/27/2007, -1/+5That was confusing, I didn't read the story and just searched google body and found the real project and assumed the story was based on that.... Then I opened the link and saw the date and read the story...
Anyhow - like EntropyMan already posted (i think) here is a video of the real google body
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/879790/google_body_e ... - Falldog, on 11/27/2007, -0/+4From the title I was hoping they were going to produce a more effective yet less invasive security screener (say for airports).
- einfeldt, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3You got my digg for the most witty remark on this page. heh. Goatse 2.0. Not if there is a god (God) (goddess) (whatever).
- str3ama, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3That'll be incredible, but I really hope this isn't going to entail a whole lot of vivisections.
- Kailash.Nadh, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3eh?
- WilliamDavis, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3They're saying it can't possibly be real. No way. Seriously.
- andrewcsayer, on 11/27/2007, -2/+5Google Body Search? Isn't that like the hunt for Steve Fossett?
- anteyekon4myst, on 11/27/2007, -1/+4In the second iteration they plan to roll out Adwords for each body part.
- FireAtWill, on 11/27/2007, -2/+5So my crotch stuffing is now useless? Damn.
- GeyserShitdick, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3Are you serious? This story is fake? There's no way you're serious. That is crazy that this is a fake story.
- scott2007, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2Oh, my God: I'm usually never fooled by satire pieces, but I completely believed this one. I was about ready to write an angry post about their opt-out policy!!
- inactive, on 11/27/2007, -1/+3I wish I could digg the title.
- colto, on 11/27/2007, -1/+3Come on*
- BossKey, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2Think "Fantastic Voyage"
- thespudmall, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2Can't wait for bigfoot!
It's Google, how can they not find it. - atbnet, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2That's what she said!
- Tenoq, on 11/27/2007, -1/+3Kinda sounds like about half the US population. Look down and all they see is gut. ;)
- hugoguzman, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2Google understands that information is power, so they're trying to corner the market in every possible way
- Atomic1fire, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2uh kind of figured that out when I saw the words future feeds forward
and the date 2020
kind of early to bring that kind of news - chochazel, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2FTA: Early testers have remarked upon a fuzzy-logic "match my organ" feature, which helps users get in touch with the nearest, most suitable donor for multiple organ systems.
Bolder patients might like to try the 'I'm Feeling Lucky' option. - spyd3rweb, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2Google is like the Borg, or that V'ger thing, it will assimilate everything given enough time.
- qpn6ph9q, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1I hate to be the policeman here but it's against the Goonited Nations charter to state obvious facts about Google. Your electrodes must be coming loose
- qpn6ph9q, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Yawn, information was power before the great migration of 2016, now we all know the currency of world commerce is Paris Hilton sexual memorabilia.
- 1CHAMONIX, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1If this were to happen it would be the worst invasion of privace in the history of the United States (second to the patriot act). Even if this were possible I would hope that the people in the United States would object to this. This is just a little weird.
- KidKenosha, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Searches for "Vanessa Hudgens boobs" are suddenly going to get a lot more interesting.
- cmccool, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1freeeaky!
- acwhite, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1I was shocked that Google has the technology to intercept blogs from the year 2022 myself, but it's true. Google it.
- ptwob311, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1hmmm...what will google not invent next. However, i could use this to learn more about my dog
- Hoxie, on 11/27/2007, -1/+2I thought this was a search indexing fresh bodies at the mourge. So you could search people that have recently died. Seriously. Google Body search.
- TheOther1, on 11/27/2007, -1/+2Too much fisting?
- Atomic1fire, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1at first I though enhanced health search...
but after reading I saw the date and figured it was a in the future thing - qpn6ph9q, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1I think the sequel to 1984 by GoogiVersal Studios was great. But that won't be released until 2084
- qpn6ph9q, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1And your point is?
- phaed, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Is Google ***** crazy? An Opt-out headband? Do they expect the entire subset of people out here who do not want to be scanned and publicized to wear headbands in public? WTF are they thinking. Basically they are saying everyone will be scanned in these public places regardless of weather they want to or not.
- aB0z, on 11/27/2007, -1/+2So how long ARE the president's toenails?
- EntropyMan, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Actually, that's not the link I posted, but yours is an interesting link nonetheless. Thanks. I doubt it's from Google though. There's no visible Google brand from what I can see and the UI (not counting the cool 3D stuff) is not that impressive -- having to click a body part and then a button for each operation seems really cumbersome.
- qpn6ph9q, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1There have been press releases about this project since 2020 when they announced the alpha. Don't you use the GooTernet or watch GooV? Sheesh
