- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Indeed, the "From:" can be modified easily, but how did they get my freakin' e-mail address?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I received a random number mail too. While examining the headers, I found out that the mail seems to be coming from eliws.org (adsl-63-206-224-22.wsipack.com [63.206.224.22].
- NeoDriver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The above person is right. I recieved one from myself (non-gmail) just numbers. Wildshot but mabey we are being catalogued or index'ed. Giving each email address a refrence number to be found with in the future.
- Bradl3y, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It is ridiculously easy to spoof (forge) and email. I could send a message to you appearing to be from bill gates. No Digg,
However, I did receive a similar email from myself to myself with a 3 digit number appearing in the subject and in the body, so that part is kind of interesting. Maybe one of the larger spam organizations out there had some sort of glitch or is testing their systems. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1first couple responses in that thread show how it's not a result of gmail being hacked

What is Digg?
