I'm no lawyer, but when you go through a store checkout, I'm fairly certain you are entering into a contract, and the contract in this case is that you only get your free domain after buying something, but by buying nothing, you are going back on this contract and therefore gaining property through fraidulant means.

Looks vaild to be because the proflowers deal had the same glitch.

Digg actually doesn't delete anything; even the most blatent spam articles can still be found using the search utility. It was probably buried because a lot of people thought it was pretty lame (and it kinda is, exploits should be reported not exploited, White Hat's rule #1). - SkiBumm4Life, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ditto. If you want to get a "free" domain for a year without committing fraud just go to 1and1.com and get a free .info domain. Then go to freedns.afraid.org and host it on your dynamic IP (assuming your ISP allows it).
