Right now, once you pop your mail one time you can't then download those messages with a different client, even though they're still on the server. Sucks if, like me, you have Thunderbird on a couple of computers & want to use it to check you gmail accounts.

- BobMysterioso, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I have 2 other accounts send to Gmail - as well as the GMail account itself. I get probably a 4% spam missed rate. I am currently well on track to have 1000 spam emails in 1 month.
so thats 40 misses a month, pretty bad. When I ran popfile http://popfile.sf.net I got a 99.9% accuracy rate after a few months, but I understand that GMail can't have an entire spam dictionary just for me.
Still, I am surprised how not good it actually is - the spam filter. The rest of GMail I like quite a bit. Well, about a year later, I rarely if ever use it. I've stuck with Yahoo Mail, because it just works and I never have to guess at where things are. Perhaps I'll have to check it out again and see if they've added features to make it compatible with mainstream email programs.
