From Microsoft: Vista Clean Install Still Possible with XP CD

odeo.com — After reading that I was no longer going to be able to do a clean install of Vista Upgrade without already having XP installed, I decided to call Microsoft to find out what was going on. According to them (or at least their sales support person) so long as you have an XP cd you can still install Vista Upgrade. Link to call audio.
