Hope that helps - OBKenobi, on 10/11/2007, -8/+47Anna Hom, why did you submit this lame crap to Digg?
- Anrkist, on 10/11/2007, -0/+31Can you sum it up for me in text? Thanks.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+26Why not add an mp3 search to you alleged "hacks"? Simple punch into Google....
-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:"index of" +"last modified" +"parent directory" +description +size +(wma|mp3) "Nirvana"
Just substitute the term "Nirvana" for any band or singer you might be looking for, and your search will lead you to open indexes that contain downloadable music files. - Ramzy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+28Adblock + 'Adblock Frame' = No Ads :D
- Hipple, on 10/11/2007, -1/+26It's sort of ridiculous that they make you watch a video for the "WWII Plane" thing when they could just give you the screenshot/coordinates...
- AriaStar, on 10/11/2007, -3/+25Because these are technically five videos and not in the video section, will Digg please ban AnnaHom five times?
- shableep, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18*****... you know, i really appreciate your capacity to avoid making the title, "HOT: The Five BEST Google Tricks That You Need to Know... EVER!"
- Btrash, on 10/11/2007, -5/+20Five Google Tricks You Probably Dodn't Care About
- idugcoal, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13Or just go to http://www.g2p.org, which is a sort of webGUI for linkedsolution's search technique (above), and save yourself from having to remember the full search string.
It's not that i don't appreciate your tip, but i've already got too many things clogging up the tubes in my memory to remember that full search string. And I've tried.
Kudos on the "Nirvana" reference, though. :) - fkr3, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9To get eyeballs on ads.
- OBKenobi, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9[quote]It's sort of ridiculous that they make you watch a video for the "WWII Plane" thing when they could just give you the screenshot/coordinates...[/quote]
What's ridiculous is that you didn't mark this story as lame. - ahecht, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Here are all the animal photos in Google Maps (using the z=23 hack to get 1.25 inch/pixel resolution without downloading Google Earth)

that I get when going over page 10 of webcam results? Does everyone else get this? - LADIESCREVICE, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Are people just digging this without reading it?
- karmic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6"inurl:" is pretty cool.
- LADIESCREVICE, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Somebody must have just a digicam and realized that in fact they're not as creative as they thought they where.
This is the worst example of what could easily be typed-to video, that I have ever seen. - andy6915, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Yes, I did know. It's called "Firefox", with ad blocker plus.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5@OBKenobi
Ridiculous is the fact that you use [quote] tags as if digg was a VB forum.... - PaulOwen, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5That bomber is actually quite tricky to find.

try www.scroogle.org
.org is very important.
.com takes you to a not so nice website. - djjester, on 10/11/2007, -4/+7Burieeeeeddd lame lame lame
- Bizarrkley, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I wish I hadn't fallen for that "trick" at work a few days back.
Please note that this is NSFW!! - styn, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Finally!
Tricks >>> hacks! - soapergem, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Exact coordinates for the plane (you can just type this in the Google maps search box):
52° 20' 11.0724" N 0° 11' 43.2348" W - OBKenobi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2[quote]Anyone know how to get around the google message: "We're sorry...

that I get when going over page 10 of webcam results? Does everyone else get this?
[/quote]
That happens when you open too many connections. Usually, the result of setting too many of them using the well-known Firefox pipelining tweaks. - deweyhewson, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Yeah, I got that too. The first time it let me type in a word to verify I was human, but the second didn't.
Short solution: search again and click straight to the next pages.
Edit: Eh, just noticed it locks out all pages past 11. Bloody annoying. - superguysteve, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1If you search Google for "The Spanish Google" it brings back "El Goog" which is Google spelled backwards.
Es verdad. - CeeJayDK, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"Satellite cat is watching you masturbate" :-)
Seriously though , thanks for teaching me about the z-trick. - sremick, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Even better hacks for Google you might not know about (including removing ads and much much more):
http://www.customizegoogle.com/ - riskybeats, on 10/11/2007, -4/+5Finally, I can google earth some elephants and airplanes. Best front page news ever.
- raindogmx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That bomber is not a B-17. It is an Avro "Lancaster" bomber. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Lancaster
- ivebeenhigh, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4why do all this in video?
also amusingly all the seach results for thsi are now going to be sites with this supposed hack on them rather than actual webcam sites. - Aliarse, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3All of these are way old.
http://johnny.ihackstuff.com/ for many, many, more googlehacks. Seems to be down atm though for some unknown reason. - thealliedhacker, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Hmm, all I need to search Google without ads is Opera
- flygirl62, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Good links...
On the elephants one, though, there are a lot more elephants, just slightly west:
http://maps.google.com/maps?t=k&ll=10.903684,19.933119&spn=0.00021,0.000265&z=22
:-) - nikkesen, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I use CustomizeGoogle with Firefox... it works nicely with Adblock and the filter G set.
- kyelewis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1The article, if you were viewing from their home page, would have the description before the "break", and anything after the "break" can only be read by clicking something to view the whole article (for example, "Read More...", or "Full Story..."). It makes little sense out of that context, I agree.
- qwertydvorak, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"We're sorry...

i am not using firefox, just ie and default # of connections - cr3ative, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Or, to query the Dogpile database - you can use cr3ation b3ta. It's similar to g2p.org.
The story was quite popular and details are here:
http://digg.com/software/cr3ation_b3ta_Music_Search_Plus_Free_MP3_Downloads - Vladek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"View them all after the break"
What "break" are they talking about? There are no ads in between the clips. What breaK??? - raindogmx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1You're becoming exceedingly pompus.. I'm starting to loathe some of the digg users.
- tunafizzle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That webcam search ***** stopped working a year ago after 70000 sites posted the trick, go ahead and actually google inurl: index...blah blah, all you'll find is a thousand blogs and forums saying, hey check this out!
And these are not "hacks"
And why are they all videos? - Meheren, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1they probbaly were using that bomber to spray for mosquitos i know they do it all the time here.
- rfalloon, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3haha, a patent my dad submitted in 1982 is on there.
http://www.google.com/patents?id=Cj81AAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4&dq=falloon#PPA1,M1 - rabidjade, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I'm surprised this article made it this far.
- casablanka315, on 06/17/2009, -0/+0I d like to see the girls in London as they are here http://www.aprov.co.uk/ Please help..
- great111, on 02/27/2008, -0/+0It's good to know for those who use it very much. I don't think I need them because the only things I look on Google are sites like this one: http://www.contactmenow.co.uk/AdvertsbyCategory.as ... and I don't need tricks to find them. :d
- sharigan, on 10/11/2007, -5/+5there's only two tricks...
