- fjolle, on 11/13/2007, -1/+18Thats nice. I find myself in a situation where i could need an application like this way too often...
- backoff34, on 11/11/2007, -2/+18So thats why Google paid for people to get the hours and pictures of local businesses. Good call Google.
- davewashere, on 11/11/2007, -0/+15Hell yes she is. All to often. To anyone and anything. She's a true equal opportunity slut.
- doctapeppa, on 11/11/2007, -1/+16Denny's has beer?
- sint4x, on 11/11/2007, -0/+14Yes, apparently with beer as well.
- CrossfireCurt, on 11/11/2007, -3/+13Oh man, it finds beer too?!
- davewashere, on 11/11/2007, -1/+11It does when I toss a few cans into the Claw Machine by the door. Sure, it's wasted beer, but at least I know it will go to a deserving child.
- blackjack75, on 11/11/2007, -0/+6So.. basically it's a website formatted for a certain size. Great.
- skyshock1, on 11/09/2007, -0/+6Something tells me this will be the first of many many really cool apps to come.
- wupike, on 11/08/2007, -0/+5I'm in for a gravity bong finder ;)
- opethlike, on 11/11/2007, -0/+4Dude, quit pimping your blog! Jesus.
- madaznboi, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3Where have you been all my life? Bookmarked!
- t1m0j5, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3Wait the SDK comes out on the 12th? where did this come from?
- fLUx1337, on 11/11/2007, -1/+4GPS tracking on all bottled beer, deactivated when opened.
gBFinder - RobotBuddha, on 11/11/2007, -1/+4The difference is that the real SDK rolls out on 4 days. And that it's just some random guy on the internet calling this an app, not google.I'd be the first to dump on this if it was the best that could be done. Heck, I'm going to dump on it if I can't get python on the thing in some aspect or another. But some random blogger making a bigger deal of something than is justified isn't reason to dump on the platform.
- Tredici, on 11/10/2007, -0/+3Texting is an app?
- alphadoggs, on 07/22/2009, -0/+2Wow, and we only have to wait a year to use it...
- prettyha8, on 11/11/2007, -1/+3For ppl in the GTA:
http://beerhunter.ca - bantam, on 11/11/2007, -1/+3Wait, Wait.... Google comes out with a webapp for their mobile phone OS and no one is pissed? Come on people, when apple announced web apps for the iPhone we weren't happy, we were down right pissed!
- FuzzyCat, on 11/11/2007, -2/+3Unless you have access to it how can you tell? If you do have access to it I'd be interested in a fuller review. As it stands at the moment there is no such thing as the GooglePhone, there never will be. It's simply a rather good marketing ploy by Google. Get people to think someone else's product is yours. Sure they've brought a company that made Android, but until we get to see it, rather than a series of google maps apps it's noting to get excited about. Until the SDK is actually available I'll reserve judgement.... and take a good long look at the license - Your phone wont be any more open than it is now, imho that's a bad thing.
- Lightspeed2, on 11/11/2007, -0/+1there is no google phone, just call it android google sackriding fanboy
- slapded, on 11/15/2007, -0/+1SDK is out. Android looks sweet. u suck
- ChromaVita, on 11/11/2007, -2/+3I think the difference is that you can use a webapp for things that would require internet anyways, but if you have to use a webapp for things that you should be able to do without service, then that is a problem.
- EmperorAwesome, on 11/09/2007, -1/+1I vote this as helpfullest mobile app since texting.
- RyanChappell, on 11/11/2007, -1/+1Remote Control feature. I think there should be a remote control feature. It should have a protocol covering multiple methods of remote control, RF, IR, Bluetooth, TCP/IP, and TCP/IP via wifi. It should control all existing devices like a universal remote, an future (remotely controlled) devices should be equipped with Bluetooth or TCP/IP methods of being controlled.
- TheNik, on 11/08/2007, -1/+1It's a mock-up that assumes it will run on the same engine as OpenSocial. I don't think it's actually intended to be an Android app, but more of a web-app for full-featured mobile browsers.
- t1m0j5, on 11/08/2007, -1/+1got it thanks.....
- slapded, on 11/13/2007, -4/+3android looks sweet
- fyrfyter, on 11/11/2007, -3/+2Will it find the nearest open titty bar? If so, count me in!
- gerry, on 11/11/2007, -1/+0Find beer late ate night? I don't need google, or a valid form of id for that matter.
College ftw. - trademork, on 11/11/2007, -1/+0"Android" trademark covers software AND hardware. in case Google changes its mind:
http://www.trademork.com/android/ - Vincere, on 11/13/2007, -7/+3For open social as well.
- Interestingness, on 11/11/2007, -10/+3This is a victory for Google and everyone that has ever been on a quest for beer.
