First Line
I just wanted to let all you know, that I am now engaged to be married to my beautiful girlfriend, Yisha.
LOL - cainpitt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Best example of nerd love ever.
- canucksin2006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1gotta admit, that does take guts
- dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I thought it was awesome. And if she appreciated it, then it doesn't matter what anyone says.
- r0x0rc0pt0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hmm, I wonder how many of the people who posted "Lame" (and related put-downs) are happily married. Hmm?
Sure, it's geeky. But, at least she said yes. ;) - rustybrick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice comments mostly, not sure why some people hate so much.
If you would have taken the time to read the whole story, maybe you would realize that I put a lot of thought, effort and care into this. The bottom-line is that she loved it and that is all the matters.
Thank you to most of you for your kind words, it means a lot. - yasmyn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The guy, Barry is totally geeky and romantic!!!! Rings and Flowers!!!
I wish someone would propose me very creative and romantic way someday.... - Cleaner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Actually, what makes the ladies hot is the simple fact that you put some thought and time into ANYTHING you do to/for them. In this case, he had to profess his undying love to many people in order to implement his plan. So often, men are embarassed and can't even say "i love you" in front of thier friends...i bet he will be getting some for a long time on this one.
- pr3d4t0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm going to say that he was inspired by my little experiment from 4 days ago: http://digg.com/technology/Google_AdWords_as_Greeting_Cards ;)
- brosner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Its not really how he did it, but getting the point across. Not to be hater to the digg community, but might be much further than the rest of you. Very good idea. Congratulations to him.
- frankietears, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Reception's with a full screening of The Lord of The Rings trilogy.
- kristin364, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'd be pissed if my boyfriend proposed to me that way.

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - f1gm3nt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've read in article somewhere on setting up AdWords to display 'secert' messages when someone types in the correct key word. Neat idea for how it did it, the picture of them was a nice touch.

- aznbond, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wtf is up with all the hate? This was a very creative and awkwardly romantic way to propose... and it was probably quite the pleasant surprise. At least this shows he cares enough to put such effort towards this.
And ofcourse he's a geek, but it's obvious she diggs him just the same. - andrewcool, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Makes you wonder if people well follow in his foot steps..

- Ninjamonk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I actually proposed to my girlfriend using a computer a year back on feb the 14th.
How I did was... She wanted her own area on the computer (XP Account). I kept on promising it and I finally got her to log on to her newly created area. I set the desktop pic to will you marry me. thankfully she said yes.

- nuclei, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Whats with the losers with nothing to say but garbage? Whats the most creative thing any of you have done for your woman? fart under the covers?
- cfdisk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That was really cute. At least it wasn't like the guy at the basketball game, where the chick ran off.
- saluki1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Congrats, but does anyone still use Jeeves? Hmmm... I guess Google was busy that day.
Seriously, though, congratulations and I wish you many years of health and happiness! - Arramol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And people say the geek never gets the girl.
- gamerzworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Damn. I wonder how much he paid the folks at Jeeves...
