- BlueStarr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I was living in NY when the attacks happened. I was up early and my father was getting breakfast for the local deli. When surfing around looking for something interesting to watch, every channel's programing was interrupted and they started reporting that some kind of explosion or office fire occurred at the twin towers.
There was a helicopter with a tight shot on the building that was on fire, I thought that they would take care of the issue and life would go on normally. When all of a sudden I saw the second American airliner enter the camera shot. I saw it! And I couldn't believe what my eyes were showing me! It crash right into the second building and then...................the image was gone.
Every local channel had been cut. I knew it wasn't an office fire and that it must have been a terrorist attack. How I'd wish that I had been wrong.
I'll never forget that day. I went to the world trade center a year later. I couldn't bring myself to see such a horrific sight.

There was a lot of stuff in those buildings, so the 'mini explosions' and 'puffs of smoke' could be anything.
The WTC was made to withstand a plane crash, as we saw at first... the building didnt topple over or anything. But it obviously couldnt handle the jet fuel heat, and it toppled down exactly as it was designed to do in that extreme case, as it was made to crash downward, rather than falling over... and it makes sense when you think about the weight of the top of the building collapsing causing stress on the bottom of the building, in which it collapsed.

- Osmanthus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0One thing that will confirm for me that 9/11 was self inflicted is when the US attacks Iran. Get out a map. Look at Iran. To the east is Afghanistan. To the west is Iraq. Its just too convienent that events happen to pan out this way. This also points out that GW is not the instigatator, as the whole idea would have been planned in the 80's as a very long term strategy. Probably started by the Reagan administration.

I have no problem viewing video's like Loose Change, F 9/11, or even some of the real extreme video's about 9/11 like '9/11 in Plane Site'. However that does not mean I buy into all the conspiracy theory stuff. I do think however that if I view all the material on an event from the extremes of FOX news to the extremes of Micheal Moore, I'm best able to come to a rational decision of the middle ground and find a truth I'm happy with.

You really blew your credibility in less than 5 secs there.
Loose Change is BASED on the REAL information from the fire fighters that were THERE, the people WORKING at the WTC that day and tons of video and soundclips that in some cases only aired once that day never to be played again, showing that the official "terrorist version" is the biggest hoax in modern time.

Watch the Loose Change video on DVD - you can see the explosions. you will hear firefighters on the 78th floor of WTC2 say minutes before the collapse they only need a couple of lines as the fires are almost out. So-called "debunkers" - explain where the pools of molten steel found in the sub-basement came from (hint: thermite will readily melt steel). Explain why maintenance people reported hearing massive explosions below the fourth sub-basement just before the first plane hit the tower.
Explain why the only three steel and concrete towers anywhere in the world in history to ever completely collapse due to fire were the three that collapsed on 9-11. Explain how the owner of WTC7 was able to have the building "pulled" (his words) at 4:30 that after noon when usual demolitions take weeks to prepare.
Besides that, why did that building need to be pulled anyway? There were some small fires burning in the building but it was designed to withstand fires and explosions - it was the City's Emergency command bunker and was further from WTC1 and 2 then many other buildings that didn't fall that day. Oh yeah, Silverstein had the lease on WTC1, 2 and 7.
Explain the complete lack of evidence for a 757 at the Pentagon. Tell me what happened to the titanium and steel turbines from the engines or the huge aluminum landing gear trucks or the tail section. Where is the scar on the wall (from photos pre-collapse) from engines, the wings and the tail? Why haven't "they" shown us more than five frames of video from the "most heavily defended" building in the world - that coincidentally was unable to defend itself that day? How did an incompetent Cessna pilot perform a 270° spiraling turn to finish up flying 2 feet off the Pentagon's lawn at 500mph?
You people who believe the US government and media lies of that day are no better than the sheep who let Hitler do his evil deeds. You need to wake up and educate yourselves. Start with 911 In Plane Site, then "graduate" to Alex Jones' video Martial Law. F9-11 is a whitewash and mostly *****.
Then get politically active before it really is too late.

As for firefighters hearing secondary explosions, couldn't the heat actually make a crt monitor explode (only example I can think of at the moment)? Once again I can't see the gov't planting explosives to destroy these buildings. In response to what you stated "explosions going off demolition style far below the collapse line, testimony of firefighters about hearing explosions, reports by the news reporters on air saying that they were hearing secondary explosions" this is all assumptions and individual opinions only without clear evidence.

It's amazing how people are doubting the "conspiracy theorists" with their only knowledge of these theories coming from popular mechanics which did a very good job of covering mainly just the ones that "conspiracy theorists" themselves disavowed, whilst naming these ones that it did cover to be like the core of the truth-search.

The article claims that the "pod" on the bottom of the plane that hit the South Tower was simply the normal landing gear, made to appear larger by sunlight glinting off. However, when one examines photos of a normal 767, this structures does not exist; and even if it does, the idea that it was made to appear larger by sunlight is ridiculous. Photo AND video exist from at least five different angles that ALL show this large pod.
Also, the article claims that while the steel was not melted by the jet fuel, it was weakened. The article freely admits that the jet fuel could not have melted the steel. Yet pools of molten steel were later found in the wreck.
Further, there is a photo that quite clearly shows WTC7 smoking PRIOR to the collapse of the towers.
Also, the article claims that the plane that hit the Pentagon essentially melted, and one wing was sheared off- this is why the hole made in the Pentagon was small. Yet the area just outside the wall was barely scarred? - deathpasser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"He murders for the sheer pleasure of it."

- cawpin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@ KaylaKaze - You say that jet fuel can't burn hot enough to do damage to steel. It doesn't take that much heat to weaken steel to the point of failure. That fuel was probably burning at 1000 degrees or better and that is definatly hot enough to weaken to weaken the structure.
