- muldoonaz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i can't use microsoft live. its incompatible with lynx. :(
- DoraLives, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Some interesting comments from the MS fanboys over there. Those guys are living on an amazingly small dark planet, and seem to want all the rest of us to live there too. Fat ***** chance.
- lollerskates, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2LOL @ That Gerald Gibson fellow. "But new windows are just like new tabs! Other than the fact that tabs use less memory and are are much more organized, they are completely unimportant and useless. Just like standards. Please, Microsoft, let me give you a handjob while saluting your crappy browser."
- PyroOnASwing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1heh, i give it till tonight.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1LOL, lets see how long it stays up :)

- PSUstoekl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2i love how this site looks IDENTICAL to the apple OS X page. this is downright ridiculous how microsoft is just straight xeroxing everything apple does.
- mlahana, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What makes you guys think it's a prank? What happened to the antitrust laws and fair competition?
Oh wait, I forgot there's no such thing as someone who "likes microsoft" and so whatever they do MUST be evil. I like their new business model and I hope it takes them far. - NiX0n, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"Some interesting comments from the MS fanboys over there. Like the your use of "xeroxing" since the windows style GUI was swiped by Gates and Jobs from Xerox PARC -- the Palo Alto Research Center. - stderr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0LOL, i am not very surprised, go firefox!!!
- ctaloi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thats great!
- rileyjt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Funny...
I wonder who gets the last laugh though. I never knew about that part of the Microsoft site but it looks pretty interesting :)
Any pub is good pub? - MikeZila, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's "featured", too.
- Maajid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Chuckle Factor 7.5
- nacs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very nice!
- Karyyk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Gerald Gibson gets my nomination for Microsoft elitist of the year (funny that the M$ crown usually refers to the Mac, Linux, etc. users as such).
To him, there's only one way, and it's Microsoft. No thanks...
The whole thing does have me begging to ask one question: When exactly is M$ going to "crush" Google? They're not "playing ball."
Oh yeah, that's right... - crossers, on 07/21/2008, -0/+0hmm. interesting and also funny! but not everyone can use it, so made something that can use everyone who interested!

- vince, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This Gadget displays the official Firefox download count from http://www.spreadfirefox.com. Come on, it's funny! A plug for Firefox on a Microsoft website!?
it says that if you click it - MonTemplar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ah yes, Active Desktop... a cool idea whose time had, unfortunately, not yet come when IE4 was released. Just about everyone was still on dial-up, and a Pentium/200 (as in Pentium I @ 200MHz clock speed!) was state-of-the-art. Needless to say, most people switched it off pretty quickly.
Yeah, desktop widgets have been around, in various guises, for a long time, since the very first GUI in fact, but it's only now that personal computers and connectivity have made them more than just toys. - Vhyper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This will not be removed from the MicrosoftGadgets.com site. I've spoken with those who run the site and you'll note that a Flickr Gadget was available day of launch for Live.com. Just as anyone **can** build software for Windows, anyone can do the same for Live.com.
