- Fallout911, on 05/06/2008, -4/+54Hello music people I am currently downloading some of your stuff.
Thank you have a nice day. - Ades, on 05/06/2008, -8/+51im from sweden, and from now on im going to file-share even more..
- jmkiii, on 05/06/2008, -2/+29Are you from Sweden?
- thinman1189, on 05/06/2008, -3/+22Either I'm really tired or I thought he escaped FROM prison after the sentencing.
Also, those fines are a fraction of what people here are facing and he uploaded hundreds, if not thousands, more. - frsrblch, on 05/06/2008, -1/+17"In September 2007, the defendant started a fund to cover the fines. He has raised 7300 kronor so far."
Fine-sharing... I like it. - TurdZilla, on 05/06/2008, -6/+16The problem is that they are using 19th Century laws / thinking to Judge 21st Century problems. Once these OLD Farts are out and more of us are in the drivers seat, the Laws and thinking is going to change.
- OfNumbers, on 05/06/2008, -1/+11Seconded.
Thank you and have a nice day. - Unlgued, on 05/06/2008, -0/+9I wish you good luck, Sir.
- hektur, on 05/06/2008, -5/+13***** the RIAA/MPAA
Downloading Ironman right now.
If its good enough I'll go to see it with a friend but if its not then ***** paying. - toasty168, on 05/06/2008, -1/+8sounds like it's becoming commercialized much like our own here in the US. welcome to the pinnacle of manipulated capitalism.
- fr3ddie, on 05/06/2008, -0/+6He escaped? pretty clever.
- jeffchuck, on 05/06/2008, -0/+5This idea of "day fines" seems like something that we should really take a look at. On the surface at least, it looks a lot more fair than giving everybody the same fine for the same offense.
- spydon, on 05/06/2008, -8/+13They didnt even look at the crappy evidence... :(
What is happening to our judicial system?!?! - thebloodvayne, on 05/06/2008, -1/+6I'll second that. The industry has given me far too much crap for my money these days.
- stabbingkittens, on 05/06/2008, -2/+7Stopping P2P is comparable to plugging a leaky dam with your finger.
Except the damn crumbling all around you. - Opheicus, on 05/06/2008, -0/+5"filesharing application Direct Connect"
Oh *****, I thought they were only after torrents. - bratterscain, on 05/06/2008, -0/+4I do believe there is file sharer's insurance. I recall it being front page once.
- inactive, on 05/06/2008, -0/+4Prisons in Sweden are not really that bad:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUgrYU5xF_s
and escape from them isn't that hard. Nevertheless, nobody ever tries to run. - inactive, on 05/06/2008, -1/+5Yeah, people complain about MS being a Monopoly, just look at governments these days.
- inactive, on 05/06/2008, -0/+3When you pay for mp3's you're rockin' with The Man!
http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/715/12100360976 ...
Still, a fine for that is ***** absurd. - Tenoq, on 05/06/2008, -0/+3Bear in mind Sweden's economy is a little different, and people generally have higher taxes and lower disposable income. That said, the fines are more realistic for any country, even taking income tax and VAT into account.
- macaddct1984, on 05/06/2008, -0/+3They didn't send him to prison...
- redslash, on 05/06/2008, -0/+3Amazingly, there's a "reply" link. Check it out sometime.
- scarz99, on 05/06/2008, -1/+3How'd he escape, did he hop in the DeLorean and gun it to 88?
- BlackCow, on 05/06/2008, -1/+3Maybe because the torrentfreak articles are good so people are digging them?
- Christia, on 05/06/2008, -0/+2That's exactly how 'dagsböter', or 'day fines', work. Once the court has decided how many day fines a crime should cost, the exact value of each day fine is calculated from your financial situation.
If the guy in the article were to be 10 times as rich, each day fine (and thus the total fine) would be increased by a 10-fold magnitude. - cryptoki, on 05/06/2008, -0/+2Do you think a 100 dollar speeding ticket matters to someone making over 250k a year. I think some fines should be based on income levels. 100 file for a poor man, might mean his family goes without meat this month. So essentially im saying if you make that much money... the fine should be 1000 dollars. that would be fair in some cases right?
- inactive, on 05/06/2008, -1/+3You are an idiot.
- rebotfc, on 05/06/2008, -1/+2No, you have bogus logic. A burgler enters your house without permission and deprives you of something.
- inactive, on 05/06/2008, -1/+2Actually I agree with them. In the last 5 years I paid out over $200 for movies and wanted to walk out on 90% of them.
- Fallout911, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Lick on the fat china monkey's ass crack.
- Matri, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1I can tell you that this movie is the first piece of non-crap to come out of the industry in years.
- overridemymind, on 05/06/2008, -2/+3Sheep.
- JakeyG14, on 05/06/2008, -3/+4Well I don't know about you guys, but I wish he had gone to prison. God only knows those file sharing rascals are the downfall of society as we know it.
"What's that Mr Peadophile/Murderer? More blood? Coming right up." - kraft123, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1AYSOS? GFY, please!
- cliffski, on 05/06/2008, -1/+2stfu idiot
- Crisender111, on 05/06/2008, -2/+3You can rape, kill, steal, mug, but dont you ***** dare try P2P - Judiciary (nipple sucking the likes of MPAA/RIAA)
- breakaway, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1Damn judicimal system
- mrrm, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1http://www.anonymous-p2p.org/kerjodando.html
Janis Joplin is great, I hope she enjoys this message as much as you diggers might . I'm downloading Bobby Macgee right know.
From the Kentucky coal mine to the California Sun, let's do some sharing.
Anonymously from the ISP's if that's what they want. - Christia, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1If you store your stuff on the pavement, your analogy works.
- julianrod, on 05/06/2008, -1/+2Downloaders are not even prosecuted... they want the uploaders...
- lucashau, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0well... what else should we be waiting for?
the great ones are paying for the reckless about the mp3. - a1mck, on 05/06/2008, -0/+0In most cases you are right that you are paying "The Man," but I like buying directly from the artist(s), and bypassing "The Man.":-)
I purchased 2 albums from Alan Parsons in Mp3 format, and gave the finger to the music industry!
Pay for Mp3's only if you are buying them directly from the Artist(s)!
Thenk-yu - jriggs420, on 05/06/2008, -2/+2WGAF?
- cliffski, on 05/06/2008, -1/+1good, enjoy your ass raping in jail kid.
- johnnyblazepw, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0IMO Ironman is one of the few movies worth paying for lately
//I download most of my movies - inactive, on 05/06/2008, -1/+1If I wanted to read every torrent freak article I'd go straight there.
