- heartcoldfusion, on 02/11/2009, -2/+162I think the real question is, who gives a *****?
- jason210, on 02/11/2009, -0/+114who creates most chain letters?
And more importantly who cares - dafragsta, on 02/11/2009, -14/+86My favorite thing about the 25 things is how something that was devised for one reason or another has been maligned into an issue of narcissism and ego... which it's not. How is 25 things an ego trip when somehow Facebook itself isn't.
All sentient beings desire significance and relevance. There is nothing wrong with that. If your 25 things are all about your accomplishments that no one can ever relate to or aren't somewhat humorous, then MAYBE, you have an ego problem. I think humanity has a cancer and that cancer is jealousy. So ***** what if someone wants to write 25 random things about themselves. You can do it too, and as the link description implies, almost everyone has been tagged on one of these notes at least once, so don't feel left out.
Honestly, it kills me how social networking trends are made fun of for being examples of social networking. Don't ***** join a site like Facebook if you are that big of a curmudgeon. There is no reason for you to ruin everyone else's good time. 25 things is just another way for you to socialize with your friends. Sadly, what it really shows is that everyone is judging you all the time, which has probably been the single biggest intimidating social hang-up for me personally in the past, but I'm 32 now, and frankly, I don't give a ***** what people think about my idiosyncrasies anymore and I can definitely laugh at most of them.
All you "I don't do 25 things" people can join your own Facebook group and not interact with each other all day long. - fubarific, on 02/11/2009, -8/+7425 Things about Digg

- Chirp08, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1826. Facts get burried, similar opinions get dugg.
- dafragsta, on 02/11/2009, -4/+22Sure. When you join a social networking site, don't be surprised when people are socially networking. If you don't want to play any of the reindeer games, just STFU and don't play them. There is no point in trying to make others feel bad for participating.
- diggnidy, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1811. mountain goats are awesome

- ToastPop, on 04/17/2009, -2/+16You know, when you have actual real life friends, it can actually be interesting to find out things about them, and it's just some innocent fun. I guess it isn't surprising Digg can't relate to that.
- groberts1980, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1312. Anything that's in list form = front page.
- josephbloseph, on 02/11/2009, -0/+13See number 5
- shotgunefx, on 02/11/2009, -1/+14You know, I usually hate these things but this one struck me as cool. I guess because most of the people I know on facebook are actually friends or at least strong acquaintances, or people I was friends with long ago.
Just an interesting way to learn a bit more about people I already know that maybe I wouldn't otherwise know because of context or time. - groberts1980, on 02/11/2009, -8/+20Are you kidding? Of course it's about narcissism. The thing about "25 random things" is that it's not random. It's 25 things that you want other people to read and recognize about you. "let me see, I want people to know this about me, and this, and this, etc." It's the opposite of random.
- Hincapie, on 02/11/2009, -0/+128. #5

- MyTakes, on 02/11/2009, -0/+9The President of Argentina received the Facebook note and called it spam, 8 days later his son died. A man received the Facebook note and immediately passed it on . . . his surprise was winning the lottery. Alberto Martinez received the Facebook note, gave it to his secretary to make copies but they forgot to distribute: she lost her job and he lost his family. The Facebook note is miraculous & sacred. Forward to 10 people.

- springboks, on 02/11/2009, -0/+6It's not so much who creates them, it's the nitwits that make them viral. It seems every new medium of written communication has this crap. Remember email in the early 90s people started this chain letter crap, then it spread to text messages, now social media.
- Hincapie, on 02/11/2009, -1/+7i did it too. why not? who cares?
- legendxx, on 02/11/2009, -1/+7That's the real mystery.
