- nofrak1, on 10/10/2007, -7/+53Thank Goodness. The last thing we need is facebook turning into myspace with crappy music blasting from every page.
- FreakyT, on 10/10/2007, -1/+36It's always been impossible to have music play automatically on Facebook pages.
- lordtyros, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18Yes, I too am interested. Email me at are.you.*****.serious.you.really.think.you.can.compete.in.social.networking.this.late.in.the.game@gmail.com
- rabidmonkey1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14Do what you want cause a pirate is free!

Are you kidding? And who is going to answer to the copyright lawsuits? You? - meamog, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12then... get rid of some?
- completerobot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11The Facebook admin agree with you. That's why you can't do that. All of the audio apps require activation from the browser. So there's really no reason for you to bitch about it.
- fpcyber, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11This is actually the second application killed. The first was one that gave you stats on who is viewing your profile, without their knowledge.
- Medison, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Yeah, if you like 30-second clips of mainstream music.
- UlicBelouve, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Can we kill the zombie and vampires now? I'm sick of being super-duper-ninja-vampire-pirate-zombie poked.
- vfrex, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10OMG, YUOR GONNA GET TEH SPAMZ
- tdreyer1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9So, you don't have any friends do you?
- DamageInc, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14Just get the iLike application. Problem solved.
- mikesherov, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Thanks a lot. I'll easily be able to get that song out of my head now.
- muse09, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9i thought it was built by some guy that was not involved in facebook.. pretty sure it was.
- nodonoug, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9The Last.fm app is still working, you can play music from that, although it's closer to a personalized radio station.
- MikeonTV, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Can I still be a pirate?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7facebook ≠ myspace
- morrislevy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I didn't even notice it was missing! So many goddamned applications I can barely navigate my profile. F&$# it.
- cquilliam, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Because the SPAA (Still Picture Association of America) doesn't quite have the US government in their back pocket yet
- jads, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5"I think the biggest problem with the Audio app was that it not only streamed music but allowed downloads of it as well"
Really? With it being a flash player I didn't think most users would be able to. (Unless you are using a network activity monitor I suppose. - tuxidomasx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5imeem sucks monkey balls ever since virtually EVERY song became a bad quality 30 second clip
- adefeugo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Actually, iLike's interface is pretty terrible even by Windows standards and their recs just stop working for the less popular stuff... so, no, problem not solved. Sure MySpace abused the player but it's not a bad idea in theory and through Facebook I've gotten to know some really small time time bands that are amazingly awesome and I'd never have heard of otherwise. It's a shame they axed it.
- andrewthrice, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Jesus ***** Christ....are these types of comments in every thread?
- Kazanoe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4No, it's great at what it does, social networking.
Social networking is just over-rated.
I mean, seriously, just another opportunity for people to talk to me when I don't want them to. - turquoisefish, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4One of my friends has pretty much every app going. He wonders why his wall sometimes doesn't work properly!
- alpha94, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Apps killed facebook for me.
- Kazanoe, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Jesus WAS Christ, and ***** involves two people. Therefore, there can be no 'Jesus ***** Christ'
- davdav, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Why do you need a telephone book for your true friends?
- Pimptastic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5There are still other ways to have audio on your facebook page, but you just have to be a little bit more creative.
- masterstan, on 12/06/2008, -1/+4it was ur choice to play the music someone had.
Doesn't POSTING links (posted items) to music also border on copyright infrigement... what a ***** move... - whatthefu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2That's lame. Sometimes I used that thing to hear songs. It didn't automatically play or anything, and I barely noticed it on other peoples' pages.
- hypoh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2So that means you've given up on e-mail as well? Way to be a rebel.
- slythfox, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yes. The Box app still works, and it plays audio. :P
- tdreyer1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Mmmmmm..... Brainz.....
- slythfox, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Hm... The Box app (box.net?) plays music, and it still works. Makes me happy.
- jedikv, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1pirates bite each other?
- jedikv, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I wanna be ninja
- RichOfTheJungle, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Wow, one of the new applications that I actually liked. Oh well....guess I'll go back to turning people into zombies.
- pak314, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3What about copyright infringement with photos? They should ban photo sharing also.
- FireStrife, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2You know they added a replacement called "Music"
It reduced the features back to when Audio just started. - completerobot, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Facebook apps can't autoplay on your profile ever.
- RyanWilliams, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1If Facebook were still a small site like it was back in the day, I doubt this would have happened. The unfortunate reality of life is that when you become successful and widely known, you become increasingly liable.
The only way a "truly open" version could work is if it never became popular. Just because it's the internet doesn't mean copyright doesn't matter. - jjpertusch, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2why? you dont have to use them. and if you have friends that have their pages filled with ***** apps then it helps you realize that you have ***** friends. it helped me figure out more about a lot of people than the "About Me" section ever did!
- cloudyprison, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Yar Har Feedly Dee, Being a pirate is alright with me!
- kingkilr, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Yeah, if you are serious about it I would definitely work with someone on it, message me on AIM if you are serious.
- Ar5eNiC, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It did not give the URL of the .mp3 file. When the app first came out, you could just view the source code of the page to find the link to the mp3 but then the creator made it so the URL was encrypted. However, there was a greasemonkey script that someone created that would automatically decrypt the URL and add a "Download Song" link.
- blacklint, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Because.... I own the copyrights to my photos, so there is no infringement?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That's exactly what me and my friends did when we installed the application. What the hell else would we use it for.
- tdreyer1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No. Apparently they bite others and TURN them into pirates.... I think.
