- MikeSetera, on 07/02/2008, -2/+31I've got it and it's freakin awesome! :D
- bs0l, on 07/01/2008, -2/+25I have it! WOOO
- sfrench, on 07/01/2008, -2/+22We are enabling the engine for sets of users which are chosen randomly. Look for it shortly.... you'll digg it.
- YesImAChick, on 07/01/2008, -3/+22The Recommendation Engine is awesome. I'm aDiggted. (I've been waiting to use that for so long)
- cjflashman, on 07/02/2008, -3/+20SWEET!
I have it!
Wow, this honestly somewhat struck me at random.
But from what I see- It sure does elminate a LOT of spam and Fail Submissions.
You guys will love it! - mark076h, on 07/01/2008, -1/+18I guess i did not get into the beta, i figured they would let active users in :(
- redneckblues, on 07/02/2008, -1/+13I will gladly accept digg's seed.
Wait... - Ducttape38, on 07/01/2008, -1/+14Really interesting interview with Anton Kast, the lead scientist. Didn't really realize how complicated the engine was until hearing him explain about the design and challenge of it all.
Props to the Digg team, I'm loving the engine already. - afidler, on 07/02/2008, -2/+13I've got it.
So far, I'm loving this new feature! It's kind of rejuvenated my interest in going through upcoming stuff. It's, so far, pretty accurate as far as listing submissions that I'd be interested in, and because of that I've found a lot of stuff that I probably would have missed anyways.
I think this was one of the best moves on Digg's part I could have asked for. - inactive, on 07/02/2008, -2/+11It's still private? I guess thanks for letting me in! *feels special*
- NathanCH, on 07/01/2008, -2/+12I hope people like me like me.
- cyberpope, on 07/02/2008, -1/+9This story was recommended to me, so far everything I've seen has been very nifty.
- Daniel591992, on 07/02/2008, -1/+7I never get picked!!!
- dunktim, on 07/02/2008, -0/+5I want to get into the beta!
- LeRenard, on 07/02/2008, -0/+5So far its awesome, I've been finding diggs from it I like better than the usual front page stuff.
- gbarberi, on 07/01/2008, -2/+6I'm waiting to get into the beta myself. I want to see how this recommendation engine is different than crawling over Friends' upcoming diggs in my profile - other than finding me new friends.
- zephc, on 07/02/2008, -1/+5I had just two stories in there for a while, both of which I buried, but now there are a lot more, and they really do seem, more or less, interesting to me (lots of tech stories - surprise surprise!) I just worry that it will narrow the stories that people see when looking for new, not-front-page stuff. I love that the front page has such a hodge-podge of stories.
- Thrilltone, on 07/02/2008, -0/+4My apologies to the Beta Engine. Football was still checked. I fixed it. Being a Dolphin fan will cure anyone of enjoying the NFL. NBA and Olympics are my favorite sports.
- HCviolence, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4For some reason I have this(not that I'm complaining). It really allows me to digg things that I otherwise might have missed and completely personalizes what stories I want to see more so then customization and categories would.
- Daniel591992, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4Now they have to work on the spam shouts and friend system. The homepage is run by people with tons of "friends". It's become absurd recently.
Just look at what the person that submitted this story shouted to 18 people: "reshouting, as this is really starting to pick up some steam. please digg and shout. will digg your stuff in return. :)" Digg is being abused by spammers looking to make money or boast their ego.
Does anyone think the new recommendation engine will help increase the diversity of users that make it to the front page? I'd love to know what a staff member has to say about this issue. - TheVigilante, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3I, too, am wallowing in this random glory of being picked for this private beta. Been here since v.1 (though under another name) and have loved digg every step of the way.
Can't wait to give this recommendation engine a good go. - FENWAYFREAK, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4I am in but i am not connected very well with anyone (low percentages)
- jakerudy7, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3dude! im in beta and i think its great. no more having to look through the millions of crappy stories with 1 digg
- Karmavs, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2I'd have waited longer.
Much longer. - SRSco, on 07/02/2008, -3/+5I had to wait like 4 weeks after everybody else on earth had IMAP Gmail. Even my sisters who had zero need for IMAP got it the first day. It's great to finally be included on a first round of something like this.
- Reaper2806, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2It's a good system. Suprised I got in! All those hours at work spent digging have paid off!
- dsmx, on 07/02/2008, -3/+5I got in as well :)
- saucedmike, on 07/02/2008, -2/+4It's not really exclusive if there are thousands of people able to see it.
- Pitstopper, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2This article has been recommended for me!
- seandfeeney, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Once you use the recommendation engine you can never go back!
- rowjimmy, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2how did they choose who got beta? i didn't apply, didn't know this was in the works, and am not particularly active on digg, and yet i suddenly find myself amongst the elite...
- redneckblues, on 07/02/2008, -2/+4Me too, in fact it's how I found this story. *****
- NeoSporin, on 07/02/2008, -1/+3I got in and didn't even know until now!
- qwertydvorak, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2my % is 34, 5, 2, and the rest are 1%. nobody is compatible with me.
- nonchai, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1I have a concern about this in that it is yet another way to "fragment" and polarise information. By means of such an engine diggers will end up only reading stories dugg by people of the same ( narrow ? ) mindset, instead of being made aware of what the community at large diggs. Its the same problem as we have with all the US TV news channels - where people are tending to choose the news that reflects just their viewpoint instead of all getting the same info and dealing with it.
We need to get away from information sources that just preach to the "converted" - jepizacar, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1nice resource....

- gbarberi, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2Scratch that comment. I just got access to the beta a little while ago. It's definitely useful and it looks like it *will* improve over time.
I'm definitely finding this easier than going through the queue or even through Friends' upcoming diggs. I don't care much for what the Digg team has made recently, but this tool is definitely their best creation. - mikeabundo, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1If two Diggers' compatibility score ever hit 100% -- if you met your Digg doppelganger -- would the universe explode?
- domokunt, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Mine is 15%
- Daniel591992, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2Well... do you like it??
- Seidoger, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2Omg, i want your autograph!
- imbob, on 07/02/2008, -2/+3i don't have it, i guess I'm not that special :(
- killerofkiller, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2i got in also :)
