- Aidje, on 06/17/2008, -0/+1Correction: docx. I've had plenty of people come to me for help when they couldn't figure out why they couldn't open a Word document. Of course, people who blindly send out .docx files probably don't even know how to convert them to pdf.
- MoeDrippins, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1Regarding #24 in that list, there are no such files in existence.
- kshedd, on 06/05/2008, -0/+0Funny, yet informative. I wish more people would ask these types of questions before sending email!
- scottmorris, on 06/05/2008, -0/+0Does it contain appropriate usages of their, they're, and there?
Does it use "then" for a comparison where "than" is the correct word? - lhicks22, on 06/05/2008, -0/+0People should really take these rules to heart. It would greatly help decrease inbox clutter.

- kshedd, on 06/05/2008, -0/+0Don't forget about you're and your!
- lee7830, on 06/06/2008, -0/+0I think #16 pretty much says it all - I would just add "or your Mom". If you wouldn't mind the whole world seeing your email with a photo of you beside it, then by all means send it.
Regarding cc's. I'm an info junkie so I don't mind the extra noise in my in-box, it gives me a better sense of what's going on in the company and how things interconnect even if not immediately relevant to what I'm doing. It's better than not being included and finding out later that someone has made a decision that adversely impacts what I'm doing. - fredkzk, on 06/16/2008, -0/+0Great list, my fav is # 13 while the one I disagree with is #20. Unlike what Seth or many other people may think, this is no longer a political statement.
- nmbailey, on 06/08/2008, -0/+0I want to add to #26.
Am I forwarding someone else's mail, or adding new recipients to my reply? (If so, will all of the previous contributors to the thread be happy when they find out?) - dannyrocks, on 06/06/2008, -0/+0I have printed it out. I will laminate it and keep it next to my computer. If I consider just one of the 36 points before I click "Send" I will be more effective with my communication.
Thank you for compiling this list! - joebp, on 06/05/2008, -0/+0It's amazing how productive a company can be without CCs and FYIs. This list is the best I've seen so far - no nonsense & helpful.
I forwarded it to everyone in my contacts folder so they can be better emailers...kidding.
