***** THE RIAA. - inactive, on 08/02/2008, -2/+51Excellent - long live the EFF!!!
- str3ama, on 08/02/2008, -1/+33no need to test for me, the little notice box that appears on all sites being injected by my ISP saying "You're 80% through your monthly bandwidth, confirm this notice: Yes I understand - No I don't" is enough for me to know that they're interfering with data packets.
- openpaledot, on 08/02/2008, -1/+26I suspected Cox heavily throttled typical torrent ports. A friend of mine had his internet shut off and recieved a phone call from Cox about a DMCA notice for a file he didn't even have on his computer.
- dondara, on 08/02/2008, -0/+23Cox, their name is the best descriptor for them.
- hexydes, on 08/02/2008, -0/+20Wow...
- blackturtleus, on 08/02/2008, -1/+21This is why I'm an EFF member! The only way to fight against the tyranny of big corporations is to join together and support an organization that will hold them accountable. I'm not a joiner, but EFF does work that is too important not to support!
- iJessicaRabbit, on 08/02/2008, -1/+20Thanks EFF for keeping protocol B alive :)

- borez, on 08/02/2008, -1/+11Sweden = Switzerland?
- hexydes, on 08/02/2008, -0/+9You just download the zip or tar file, and extract it to your Program Files directory (or really any directory on your computer). Then you go into the "bin" folder and run the executable of choice for your operating platform (in your case, the .exe for Windows, but it appears there are also options for Mac OS X and Linux).
- sf340b, on 08/02/2008, -0/+9rogers?

- pigfister, on 08/02/2008, -0/+8lets not for get who is actually behind the MPAA - RIAA these are the companies that need to be targeted and boycotted into changing their ways.
Name and shame the companies as all the **AA trade group name is for is to protect the ***** capitalist corporate globalist wankers from bad press.
The BPI Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The RIAA Soundexchange Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The IFPI Are: The same anti consumer lot as listed above!
The MPAA Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT, FOX. - mindracer, on 08/02/2008, -0/+7i want to say it too.. ***** BELL and ***** ROGERS
- sdrawkcaB, on 08/02/2008, -2/+8This past week my torrents have all been going full speed within a minute of launching, I think they may have backed off. A lot better than the 20kb/s I was getting.
- sliksta, on 08/02/2008, -0/+5So, you don't even get the webpage you were looking for. You get an altered version thanks to your crappy ISP. Sounds like fraud to me.
- ROBBERSwireless, on 08/02/2008, -0/+5ya, i hate bell... they say they throttle from 4pm to 2am but now they thorttle 24/7...
- Portfolioso, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4This is very tricky to use. I was able to build it, but then I got all kinds of errors Until it's widely used or has better doumentation or examples, it won't help me much.
Good tool though. - dougle, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4Open Rights Group for us in the UK
http://www.openrightsgroup.org/ - BoneheadFarker, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4Mine still goes through the "up for minute, cut for a minute" during the day. You want to know what's worse? I'm not even on Bell, but since I have to go through Bell's lines eventually I get throttled. And the funny part is that I still get calls and letters from Bell telling me they're deeply sorry they are to have lost my business but would love to have me back...
- JBmtk, on 08/03/2008, -0/+3ah feck...good job digging me down all.
- aserer511, on 08/02/2008, -1/+4w00t eff!
- inactive, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3Alex2, thats because the Notepad that comes with Windows sucks ass.
Use Wordpad as Waydee mentioned, or Notepad++ (my preference), or Notepad2.. or basically any other Notepad replacement app. - RIPtechtv, on 08/02/2008, -2/+5Windows Vista 32 bit. Failed to start because wpcap.dll was not found. :(
- jessenoob, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?uslbmtkfoe5
The DLL's you need to put in the BIN folder if you're running windows are contained in the link above.
When I run the EXE, it returns pcap_datalink: 1 on my computer. I have no idea what this means....anyone care to elaborate? - kevman459, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3I assume it's a dll for http://www.winpcap.org/ winpcap, a packet sniffing tool.
- Alex2, on 08/02/2008, -5/+8GFY .. the standard response to tards who post 'RTFM'.
Have you even opened up their readme file in notepad? It's a pile of unformatted text. You expect people to read that? GFY. - alpharaptor, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2i seem to be missing dll's
- sleze, on 08/02/2008, -2/+4Eh. Let me know when it is finished and I don't have to manually install a bunch of extras like python. Once it is easy (like Azureus's) I and other lazy netizens will be more likely to use it.
- taseedorf, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2I like this.
- pintomp3, on 08/03/2008, -0/+2time to make another donation to the EFF.
- waydee, on 08/02/2008, -1/+3Yeah, I noticed that and then as I usually do when that happens I opened it with wordpad.
And if you can get your head around that the README.txt and INSTALL.txt explain everything. - Defiant001, on 08/02/2008, -1/+3I'm with them too, well said dude!
- ElectricKetchup, on 08/03/2008, -0/+2It's from winpcap, which ethereal and wireshark both use on MS windows.
- antdude, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2Isn't that from Ethercap/Wireshark?
- akino, on 08/02/2008, -1/+3What does it do exactly?
- ktetch, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2I've been working with the designer, to try and make it work nicely on a 'typical windows computer'. I've got it running, now and i believe a self-installer will be ready in the next few days.
- sliksta, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2Same here. I can't afford to donate to causes but I found the cash for EFF. These guys are legit. Nothing like united way, salvation army crooks
- LiThiuMElectro, on 08/03/2008, -0/+1I got CGOCABLE which is cable in Québec Got a private tracker for my torrents the download speed go cut really bad... And that's not even mentioning my upload ratio sucks since those ***** decided to filter it.

- michaelz92, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1I think the title could've been better. I was thinking an EFF lawyer who was a tool.
