http://www.bugmenot.com/view/www.nytimes.com - n8r0n, on 10/12/2007, -3/+58I could have sworn that Rev3 was around before Digg.
- chriskzoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+39LOL at calling them "Mr. Rose and Mr. Albrecht" throughout the article.
- hayovrheerz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+37The founder of Netscape?
The irony is killing me.
Other than that, Congrats Rev3 and the Digg crew. I love all the podcasts, and can't wait to see what's coming up. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+44I ***** hate the NYT website. Goddamn spam-machine account-required bs.
- drinkGreen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31looks like Rose has another million dollar company.
soon, he'll be able to buy an ottoman for that couch. - jeffreym, on 10/12/2007, -6/+35They could've at least thanked Leo Laporte who made them what they are today.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29Awesome article photo. Congrats to Revision3 for being featured in The New York Times.
- liquidice, on 10/12/2007, -3/+30and jesus, don't forget jesus
- thewayne, on 10/12/2007, -3/+29Actually before Digg Revision3.com belonged to me. Back when I was learning phpnuke.
Now I can say I have "connection" to Digg :)
http://web.archive.org/web/20020930004227/http://www.revision3.com/ - gabrielwalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20From the article:
"Now, while they are still very much involved with Digg, Mr. Adelson and Mr. Rose are preparing to announce that they have turned the Revision3 Corporation, an Internet video production firm they have been running on the side, into a full-fledged company." - iheartcrack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13I thought I heard "film clicking" sounds on the last podcast. Must have been the NYT photographer.
- m0nk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14There's always the bugmenot extension in firefox as well.
- smithco, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17This will easily double Kevin's riches to 120 million.
- PAJK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I doubt any of the Digg dev crew (programmers) are invovled in Rev3 -- I mean, why would they be?
- deut, on 10/12/2007, -7/+18I'm sorry to piss on anyones parade but I hardly think vid-podcasts like ctrl-alt-chicken are going to set the world on fire. Or what about that classic episode when KR showed us how to scam a businessman and get free pizza.
$1m dollar funding - 2.0 gone mad?
What about Hak5, they make some damn fine Vidcasts without the big bucks. Honestly, how are Rev3 gonna stand out and be any different to all the other stuff that is already there.
Fancy AJAX 2.0 web site perhaps, oh pleeeeeeeeeeese........ - PAJK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Calacanis is grinding his teeth right about now.
- mklopez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Is this what they were referring to in the last diggnation podcast, when they mentioned a big party this week "for no reason"? ;-)
- geminitojanus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Rev3 wasn't a business before Digg was a business. Rev3 was a website for a collection of hobby movies/podcasts they made. Now it's a media company with a million dollars in capitol for developing new projects and paying salaries. That's the difference.
- joeuttaro, on 06/06/2008, -1/+9That picture IS awesome.
- seanatki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Rev3 was their company behind System when it first started.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I'm able to view the article without logging into anything.
- blackjack75, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6That'll definitely buy him a second couch!
- ThinkBox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Im pretty sure they took that picture after he dropped the "shocker"
I knew something was up when i heard the SLR snapshot noises all during the last episode. - TaeBoX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Yeah Rev3 is old. I believe those guys were doing Rev3 before they quit at g4/techtv. I wish they would keep making systm videos.
- flipside3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6So when can we start buying stock in Rev3 and Digg? You guys are going to give dividends, right?
- itanshi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5i'm not sure the article was about that detail, so does that detail make the main topic innaccurate?
why did i even comment on this. - Whitey04, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7I totally understand Monolith2's point. Bugmenot is fine, but I don't go to websites that want any more data than a junkmail account. You only encourage their behavior.
- lordsandwich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Whatever it takes to get Martin Sargent and the Infected crew on the air for the long haul definitely gets a digg from me.
- fitzfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4easier to watch on a 3 inch screen with 10x10 resoultion? i think ill keep downloading to watch it in good quality.
- kevnaca, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Nice angle on Kev's new couch. Looks like a fine choice, after "polling" (*wink *wink) multiple women. Could this be the rebirth of Techtv? I really hope so. I want them to grow and eventually end back up as a tv network.
- fitzfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4What gave it away? was it the fact that the party is called the "Rev3 Launch Party" on the rev3 site?
- ipodman715, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Newspaper scan:
http://twit.no-ip.info/~twitmirr/digg/diggnyt.html - billybob476, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5...and all the little children!
- zone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4the picture:

http://img92.imageshack.us/my.php?image=25digg1600x331km1.jpg - blarneystone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I agree. Although, maybe REvision3 can have their own embedded player.
I think a lot of the viewing public, like myself, avoid downloading stuff at work.
The thing is, the majority of my Internet time is at work...during lunch and after hours of course.
I just think Revision3 will be much more successful if they have an embedded media player like Youtube. The downloads are great too.....but I want to sample it before I download. - TenaciousMe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4You all know Revision3 has been around since like 2002 hey? Before digg.
- Crazyiodudo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Maybe this means more episodes of thebroken?
One can only hope. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The big boys bring money with them, I fail to see your point.
- popltree2, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7should be "the actor guy" and "the guy who puked on the actor guy's couch and accidently gave out 'The Shocker'."
- pabloD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think u r right. Actually, if I remember correctly, I think Alex actually let it (the Rev3 launch) slip by accident.
- EasY_TargeT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2or if not systm, come on broken
- ardellin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2read the above comments... or the article
"Now, while they are still very much involved with Digg, Mr. Adelson and Mr. Rose are preparing to announce that they have turned the Revision3 Corporation, an Internet video production firm they have been running on the side, into a full-fledged company." - Klitzy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Haha....I encourage everyone to go to the forums...It would be nice to have a real active community in all parts of the forum rather than just the geekdrome(Another rev3 show) section. But yeah, wbreim, week 1 for me! But yeah, can't wait for tomorrow re-launch party and the new website/forums/shows. Going to be fun, shame I can't go.
- zone, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4oh, and here is the print version for the ones the refuse to singup/login:
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/25/technology/25digg.html?_r=2&ref=technology&pagewanted=print - wbreim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I always believed in them, been watching diggnation since the 12th episode and have not missed 1.... every week baby.
- timmayk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it's the founder of netscape. he's no longer with netscape. i think he left when he sold to aol...
- XMinusX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why is netscape putting money into Rev3 becuse there digg rip off isnt getting the hits?
- doorman444, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1you can never forget beer
