- shiftt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+150Digg brought a new level of unproductivity to my life. Thank you.
- gronne, on 10/12/2007, -5/+116Congrats Digg!
- bribera, on 10/12/2007, -7/+116Seriously!
At least 25 of those are me and my army of story-promoting spambots. - vbsurfer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+75Does the one millionth registered user receieve a free Playstation 3, iPOD, RAZR phone, or a Toshiba Laptop!?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+66How many are active?
- deut, on 10/12/2007, -1/+44Where do they go from here?
Will it be even better with a million users?
(I predict a million users by June/2007, following a release of Dig4.0) - NightRush, on 10/12/2007, -4/+41He should get a T shirt...
Grats digg. - hehe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+38Yup. Before I registered last December, I had visited Digg for the past few months, and just read the stories. But it's so much nicer to be able to digg them and comment on them. So if you are reading this and aren't registered for Digg, register now!
- totorototoro, on 10/12/2007, -4/+40who was number 500,000?
- bonesaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30Even though there are 500,000 members, it's the same 5 or 10 members that are dumbasses and ruin it for the rest of us
- KingDork, on 10/12/2007, -3/+28Wait did you take out AOL's 100,000 accounts? Can't forget the multi accounts for other sites to digg there own posts as well....
- khag7, on 10/12/2007, -6/+28about 1000, i'd say
- NinjAlt, on 10/12/2007, -11/+30and all of them are *****.
- TimDigg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Digg is ***** crack...I hate to say it, but I visit digg more than google.com
- Clbck, on 10/12/2007, -7/+23Hey, ***** you!
;) - sophiaperennis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16100986 according to the Recently Active Top User list: http://digg.com/topusers/page3367
- diggmaddy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18Yay. I just need to create 488,864 more usernames to be the millionth digger.
/jk - ndm007, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14I checked last week and there were 280,000.
I guess Jason Calacanis has made more scum accounts to pollute our merry little community :| - mozzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7@hehe
I was lurking for about a year. I was suckered into registering back in July 2006 just so I could access the new beta categories. You're right, it's way more enjoyable to participate in the digg process. I'm hooked, my only regret is not joining up sooner. - galador, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7"Digg has at least a million or two unregistered members - that's the only way to explain the digg effect. I am also easily the most abrasive. I wonder if we could give this article a half mil diggs. hell I'd settle for over 10k. never seen that."
What about this one, it has over 10,000 diggs:

- illegalchuck, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7
How come the top users list only shows 286013 users then?
http://digg.com/topusers/page9534
Even if there is a minimum qualification of digging one story (which at first glance might be the case) to get on the list that seems awfully low. Is possible 40% of registered users haven't dugg one single story? - doughboy71, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7One more user added- you can thank that magazine article about Digg I found in my doctors office! I think I'll cancel my local newspaper! Good job!
- babelfishi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7...forgot to finish my sentence.
- djdigital, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8500,000 users and only 15 that always make front page story's.
- royaltea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4No where near Myspace's 106,134,493 members. I
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Huzzah DIGG!! hiphip hurray! hiphip hurray! hiphip hurray!
no how many of those accounts are active? and how many ppl have more than 1 account on here, need more data. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3 Dumbasses? Oh,hard to say..They work in shifts you know, so Digg is covered 24/7.
:>) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Nice, half a million diggers. Here is to one million!
- themcman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3What ever happened to the user Aliwood?
- slantyeyed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3you don't want to grow too bigg too fast and turn into a myspace where quality is dying under the weight of itself.
- tizz66, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5There's 286,013 according to the All Users page... how is there a discrepancy of over 200,000 users?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I'd say the Max Active Users is probably 14k.
- MrViklund, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3MySpace should be closed down and burned.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2wow, and I post casually and I'm ranked 4,720....
- mvprj84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2And that story has a comment with 631 diggs! I wonder if that is a record for comments?
- Warnke, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Compared to the number of people who read Digg, 500,000 isn't a very large number.
- Clbck, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Maybe that's active members.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeehah, way to go!!!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I am embarrassed to say that I have posted more than 511,134 of them.
Really, I am so useless. :( - cuzican, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i just keep telling my friends to join.. i talk about it all the time.. gotta luv word of mouth..
- HHP2K, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1... So it took 11,136 more users to sign up for you guys to notice?
=P Just kidding around. - sophiaperennis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Apparently, that direct link doesn't always work for some strange reason, but that is the number I got, when I went to the Top User list, and selected the last page at the bottom of the page.
- MrViklund, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thank you! Thank you!
- joshPB, on 10/12/2007, -7/+8This is great news. Congrats digg!
- chadell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Digg and google are one and the same. Everyone I know says so. I'm digging this.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I've seen people who were hired and paid by a company to register bogus accounts and flame/mod-down stories on sites that represented an opposing line to the company's profits. Eight hour day, cubicle, etc. Known people who did it, was offered a contract to do it myself, told them to get lost.
- leathej1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They haven't reached my member yet...
- rongon87, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2congrats kevin and the digg crew
- yukevster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow, that's over a quarter of the entire population.
Of New Zealand that is. -
