- jackcheng, on 10/12/2007, -3/+98Why bother? Isn't the number of seeds/downloads more relevant than the number of votes? Before just going off and applying the digg format to anything, these sites have to understand the types of content they're serving up and how people use that content.
- vpshockwave, on 10/12/2007, -1/+47Obviously the "Digg Clone" couldn't handle the digg effect =D
- mlwarrior, on 10/12/2007, -2/+42lol, also what good is a torrent site that can't even withstand digg
- Klarth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+31A mirror would be useless for this kind of site anyway.
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27Duggmirror couldn't mirror it in time.
- SuperMank, on 10/12/2007, -4/+26If there are anymore of these jokes I will sacrifice 3 unborn babies to the dark lord.
- OpCzar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24They need to torrent their website, haha.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23Digg.com would have been the same back in the day.
- knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Diggmirror, Coral Cache 8080 and 8090, and google cache are all coming up blank...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Look at the first section in the right sidebar... one of the most popular tags is "legal" :P
- eliezerlp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Site is still up, just the main page was taken down.

- en3r0, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Wow, I come home any my server is going crazy! I'm doing my best to try and handdel the load!
- Robomania, on 10/12/2007, -7/+18That's what you get for copying Digg!
- KnightMareInc, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14exaclty what I said when i saw the title
- rowanjl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11If people like the description, they'll often digg it, even if the site is down, because they can always come back later.
- fiver22, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Well, maybe it was a good idea -but I'll never know: it was dugg to death at less than 88 diggs -which leads me to believe that the service is not ready for prime time.
- mookieXL, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Torrentspy had digg-like voting and comment system long before this one.
- danwall, on 12/30/2008, -2/+10Okay so 88 diggs when you posted, yet its at 161 now and nobody would have been able to see the site. I don't really get why people would digg it if they can't even see it?
- en3r0, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Thank you.
- lsdeath, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11Diggoomed!!
(now make with the babies) - thelastknowngod, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9a torrent can have all the seeds in the world but if the content sucks then the content sucks and i wont waste my time. i think its a good idea as long as the users base the digg on the quality of the content and not if they just like the movie.
- Robomania, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Does anyone else see the irony that a site, down for a number of hours, already has 300+ diggs?
Maybe we are all just having a good laugh at that nasty digg effect... - garethevans, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10"We are being Dugg to death! Please bookmark us and come back later. (Ctrl + D)
God bless,
-en3r0" - nekteo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5digg effect is here...
- noamsml, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"I don't see what the big deal is, anyone can download a free copy of Pligg, buy a domain name, and call it a digg-like torrent site."
Anyone can also download Wordpress (or Textpattern) and write a blog, it's all a question of what they write. Similarly, it's not about whether you use pligg, it's about how you use it. - lukas88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You have a great point but you can only see the number of seeders/downloaders after you know what you want to download. For a long time I have wanted a sight that would give me new and interesting suggestions on what torrents to watch. Since I no longer have a TV, I don't get to see commercials and previews for other movies/shows. Trust me, I don't miss advertisements that much, but only a little bit when it comes to finding new things. This could help!
- Mike89, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Or perhaps so they can check out their Recently dugg items and return when it's not dead
- CyberSmackdown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Time for some blades!
- beasty_dave_Mk2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4teehee, you said load handle.
- bushy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3YEAH!!! We need this cause you can't tell which torrents are popular by the number of seeds!!!
- ignorantcow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Shoutwire is a bad clone of Digg.
- xamox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.torrentspy.com has had this for a while now. They are also a so called "Digg clone" but they had all categories of news before digg did. They also ran the http://ircspy.com network before torrents even existed so they have been in the pirating agme for quite some time.
- LogicallyGenius, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2They Dugg their death but i got them in Yahoo Cache, yaaahoooo.
- utkwes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Secureserver.net is AKA goDaddy hosting.
- MikeWilson, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Their site is down, because they have too much attention. Wow.
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4TorrentSpy's system makes more sense, in that it's mearly another method of seeing how good a torrent is. You can still check the number of seeders, comments. This sort of thing just doesn't seem like it'd be very practical : Most people torrent very specific things, people are not very likely to download a torrent just because it had x number of votes (Which is why I think the TorrentSpy system makes more sense)
- Ben - shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@eliezerlp
not anymore. - alen3K, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dont know you so stop refering to me and you as "US"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Yes but this is a DIGG CLONE so it's better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111
- DimaIL, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol. look at this:
"We are still suffering from the unexpected Digg traffic!
We have no choice but to wait untill later to try and resume normal operations." - drachenblut, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1this is an idea i had a while back and i do like it
But it's only useful if people are digging after they get the download to show there love or hate of a file - shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1and 12 hours later......
- kkalyan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1they haven't even changed pligg faqs.
http://www.torrop.com/faq-en.php - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5People digg just because their friends did. That way when they submit some dumb crap like yet another copy of pligg trying to be the next digg their friends will digg it in return.
- ElMoselYEE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0haha, i bet that's the first time ever. w00 we're a part of history.
- Mike89, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Aww, poor baby. The article already on the front page misses out on your diggs, Damn!
- spaceman_spiff, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2No digg due to inaccurate use of apostrophes.
- nasium, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1why not just check out http://www.zeropaid.com, start at zp and work your way to the torrents.
- stimcaps, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2still a good idea.
