With the Yahoo! front page, for example, there's finance news, romance articles, and news about celebrities. None of those interest me, but the feeds are part of the page itself. Google's page design, however, requires that you explicitly specify what data you want display on the page.

    It's nice to have a lot of data available, but for a lot of people, these 'portal' pages that try to host everything in a single 800x600 block is more noise than signal.

Those who do care are more likely to be threatened by change than to welcome new features. This is a year too late. There was a time when Del.icio.us was gathering new users, but that time has passed.

    Off course not all of them are active, I guess Wikipedia is more accurate which state "3 millions users".

    I think the delicious 2.0 design is much more attractive.

    Or am i missing the point? are they praising its function over its form?

I thought it looked like something that a high school programming class turned out. I've been to Reddit two or three times and never was impressed enough to get an account.
