- RoboRay, on 11/23/2007, -12/+349Why would anyone use a dictionary that mispells it's own name?
- plbland, on 11/24/2007, -7/+180stop being such a *****
- inactive, on 11/23/2007, -7/+175Another site to add to the list of "names that drop the 'er' for just 'r'". Flickr, tumblr, dopplr, groovr....
- airstrike, on 11/24/2007, -1/+130actually, it does have 'ninja' but you can't see it.
- usherzx, on 11/24/2007, -3/+92*become
http://definr.com/become - Nerfdude, on 11/24/2007, -10/+93i'm not using a website that can't spell its own name right for spellcheck.
- ErikHK, on 11/24/2007, -2/+82IT'S COOL! IT'S WEB 2.0!!
- estvir, on 11/23/2007, -2/+70When you decide to start using it, look up "definatly."
- Verdanic, on 11/23/2007, -4/+71http://www.ninjawords.com/
- akash8m, on 11/23/2007, -8/+70It is neat, great start. I hope the future versions will add autofill feature and sound of words, it will became a great one.
- betterth, on 11/24/2007, -2/+52Doesn't have "ninja", no digg.
- ephemeral, on 11/23/2007, -2/+47It didn't have the first two words I looked up. Good for spell check, bad for vocabulary.
- svivian, on 11/24/2007, -2/+37It was only faster because no one was using it. Now it's slowr.
dictionary.com on quick search FTW - inactive, on 11/24/2007, -15/+50Quit with the stupid 'web 2.0' names '***** faggts' - buried.
or is that buied - Gambit89, on 11/24/2007, -2/+35http://www.d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y.com/
- TerrorByteX, on 11/23/2007, -1/+29If you bothered to look for a second longer, you'd have noticed that it suggests 'supersede', which is a valid spelling of supercede.
- Uranium118, on 11/24/2007, -5/+20r-tards
- tuxidomasx, on 11/23/2007, -4/+19much faster and lightweight (but less informative) than dictionary.com
- isunktheship, on 11/24/2007, -3/+18hrm no definition for "meep"
- delgotit99, on 11/23/2007, -9/+24Dugg for a direct link.
- ryanscott, on 11/24/2007, -4/+18why not just use google?
"define: whatever" - steinalec, on 11/23/2007, -6/+20On another note, WordWeb Pro 5 can be picked up as a torrent, and is awesome, with the exact definitions as this site except it sits lightly in the taskbar. I love it. This is site is awesome for those who don't have an installed dictionary. Simple, easy, fast loading. Love it.
- seanc6610, on 11/24/2007, -3/+16i think it would be bried.
- stalefries, on 11/24/2007, -1/+14burid?
- LargeTrout, on 11/24/2007, -1/+13Nice dictionary. Shame they can't spell their own name right though.
- bowe, on 11/24/2007, -3/+15this looks like a ripoff of ninjawords.com , which has been around forever and also includes a thesaurus

http://definr.com/you - zspeed78, on 11/24/2007, -3/+14You know a bunch of us checked if that domain was available.......
- thefinger, on 11/24/2007, -1/+12dugg down for being 'web 2.0' vowel-challenged, and for "lighting fast" in the caption.
- inactive, on 11/24/2007, -4/+14My OSX Dictionary/Thesaurus widget > this POS
- HerrEisenheim, on 11/24/2007, -2/+12It's because most startups get less than $1m and need to be quite frugal with their funds. The squatters that are sitting on the proper spellings want at least $100,000 in many cases. For some startups, all they get is $100,000 in seed money.
Still though, I agree it's getting annoying. I'd rather see acronyms than spellings without vowels. But is Digg any different? Disney probably would have wanted a million for Dig.com and the right to use the name Dig. - RubberBinder, on 11/24/2007, -1/+11awesome, the random button is fun.
- sanotaan, on 11/24/2007, -1/+11well, sir, you just made definr.com look like *****.
actually, it's not that bad. in my not-at-all comprehensive test, ninjawords defined "bezoar" and "prolapsed" far quicker than did definr. for that matter, definr didn't know what "bezoar" was, and when i submitted "prolapsed", it made me click on a link of the word to get a definition. then the wait--short, albeit much longer than ninjawords, which was instant. - aazn, on 11/24/2007, -1/+10buriid, because it has to maintain the sound yet cannot have an E before the R
- BlueStreak69, on 11/24/2007, -1/+10But they do have "pirate" (ftw)
- basic0, on 11/24/2007, -1/+9Apparently the letter "e" offends some people. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipogram
- organicanagram, on 11/24/2007, -2/+10Doesn't even have floccinaucinihilipilification. Pathetic.
- AbsurdParadox, on 11/24/2007, -0/+8Google isn't a real word.

- elnerdo, on 11/24/2007, -2/+9To be honest, I think that etsa was being intentionally ironic.
- OhHarrow, on 11/24/2007, -1/+8incredibly fast dictiony -- incredibly frightening logo
- Bigpizza, on 11/24/2007, -1/+8No, I'm thinking burid, since everyone seems to like dropping the 'e'.
- inactive, on 11/24/2007, -1/+8I was going to post that too. Ninjawords is my definite favorite.
- chubs512, on 11/24/2007, -1/+8its
- ChromaVita, on 11/24/2007, -0/+6Here I am trying to figure out what a close thomosexual means...
- inactive, on 08/11/2008, -1/+7No, it can't be useful if it's not spelled "webstr" instead
- jonmlm, on 11/24/2007, -1/+7sooo you didn't check out definr?
- theRIAA, on 11/24/2007, -2/+8hey, there it is.... AHHH MY EYES! *dead*
- evilknny9, on 11/24/2007, -1/+6www.definr.com/closethomosexual ^^^^
- diggimator, on 11/24/2007, -0/+5Um, the downvotes don't answer my simple question...
