- pjs1840, on 11/15/2007, -9/+78Man, I really don't want Murdoch to buy Digg... I'd rather Microsoft buy it than Murdoch. DAMMIT.
- ajb2015, on 11/14/2007, -3/+48yeah - rupert murdoch owning digg...i can see that sitting well with the users.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -3/+45Wow, the WSJ sure is getting it right with its online strategy.
- badjoke, on 11/15/2007, -7/+31I wonder how many WSJ pages will actually hit the frontpage. My estimates are in the low 0%s.
- inactive, on 11/14/2007, -5/+24once digg gets bought up say goodbye to - ron paul stories, hacking stories, pirate bay stories that arent negative, stories against fixed news, stories against oreilly. then say hello to your censored internets.
- eean, on 11/14/2007, -1/+11Their crappy blog articles sometimes hit Digg, why not the real articles (which are usually decent.)
Just keep their damn editorials away... - PRlME, on 11/14/2007, -2/+11rupert murdoch owning digg....lol oh man thats so seriously wrong i got to laff
any how good move WSJ does have good reports - dagamer34, on 11/14/2007, -2/+10Capitalizing on the power of digg eh? Seems like every website wants a bit of the traffic.
- dumpyhumpy, on 11/15/2007, -3/+11everybodys getting dugg down for reasonable comments... Murdoch has some planted diggers...
- fortress, on 11/14/2007, -0/+7please think before clicking that "submit comment" button: http://blog.digg.com/?p=97
- ers35, on 11/14/2007, -0/+6Bugmenot blocks sites/accounts involving money to protect sensitive information.
- h0zae, on 11/14/2007, -3/+9SOLD.
- victorguttmann, on 11/14/2007, -0/+5Its not just Digg though. All of the WSJ will be for free for anyone online...
- jcaino, on 11/14/2007, -2/+6don't be stupid - if that happens the site will die. people will go back to their favorites (/,) or the next new thing.
- MikeWanDo, on 11/14/2007, -5/+9Was the DIGG: really nessecary? I'm pretty sure everyone looking at this headline, knew the story was on digg.
- DennisPwnsj00, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3As opposed to BBC Spam, CNN Spam, FoxNews Spam, NBC Spam, ABC Spam?
- dtele, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3WSJ is going to be free online anyway - http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,2204 ...
- dn11, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3so says the digg commentator with hundreds of diggs and comments... the self loathing around here is palpable
- parisxv, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3I have the same on my blog. And it's free too, but for everybody..
Does it mean I'm going to buy Digg ? - tastypastry, on 11/14/2007, -2/+4I miss the old Digg...*sighs*
- sweetleaf10, on 11/14/2007, -1/+3"Jumped the shark" comes to mind
- Ellsass, on 11/05/2008, -0/+2Why is this a good thing? People could have submitted WSJ stories before. This whole story just stinks.
- OsakaWilson, on 11/15/2007, -3/+5The WSJ no longer exists and neither will Digg if WSJ has influence on it. Rupert Murdock is the primary source of evil in the mainstream media. If he gets his hands on Digg, Digg will be cleansed of all that is good about it. It is already going that way with the flashy fake dialog window ads.

First, WSJ is widely admired for having made a success of their pay to play model, so yeah they had good luck with it. Second, WSJ.com is going to a free ad-supported model in the coming months (per Murdoch).
- aburd, on 11/14/2007, -1/+3Point A raises an interesting question... how do we find the articles to submit to digg if we can't access them?
- jt18, on 11/14/2007, -2/+4WSJ is going to be free soon: http://digg.com/business_finance/Wall_Street_Journ ...
- kazzyD, on 11/14/2007, -0/+2Here’s a review with screenshots:
http://www.techconsumer.com/2007/11/14/using-digg- ...
The most interesting thing is the window that pops up after you’ve submitted. It shows one column of the recently popular stories from the WSJ.com on Digg and another column of upcoming WSJ stories on Digg. - OsakaWilson, on 11/14/2007, -0/+2Welcome to the future of Digg if this continues.
- andrewtheart, on 11/14/2007, -0/+2How can we create a bot to submit every WSJ article to Digg automatically? I want access!
- cherish592, on 11/14/2007, -1/+3Sweet, so we can give them the same treatment as submits from FoxNews: heavy heaping of snark and judgment!
- dtele, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1z
- hoyaman, on 11/17/2007, -0/+1Why is this news? DOesn't EVERY SITE ON THE INTERNET have digg buttons now? What's Kevin got against everyone else?
- chiapet, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1http://commerce.wsj.com/auth/login?mg=content-wsj& ... Is this the online strategy you talk of ya pay to play and good luck with that LAME
- inactive, on 11/14/2007, -1/+2EVERYBODY DOWN!!!
- HerrEisenheim, on 11/14/2007, -0/+110minutemail + txt file = your own personal bugmenot
Make yourself a nice fake profile and just copy and paste so you can create new accounts in 60 seconds. - madroneDorf, on 11/14/2007, -2/+3Generally speaking the actual news section of the WSJ is moderate or "left", it's the WSJ' editorial section that is rightwing
- DMCer, on 11/16/2007, -0/+1Dude, shut the hell up. You sound like a freak.
- BigFoot48, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1It has the largest circulation in the country. People that create jobs read it. People that want to be aware of the business world and profit from such knowledge read it.
- spinningobo, on 11/14/2007, -1/+2Win.
- benc11, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1I am on the WSJ site frequently and is the most trusted business news site out there until it gets ruined by new management.
- inactive, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1That's because usually you need to pay to see their real articles.
Now we'll have full free access to their site from digg - I can't see why anyone is complaining? - spinchange, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1A) It's going to be:
