I thought one of the rules of Web 2.0 was the prohibition of any annoying animated GIF's! - Matt2k, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Please keep us updated on when you actually do visit the site. We're all very interested in your minute-to-minute activity
- kingace, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11The author of that article looks like an elf.
- EvilPenguin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Could have picked a better example, perhaps something that looked animated rather than some random pictures. Stop time animation in 10 frames or less....
Also thank you for submiting a direct link to digg and the link to the blog in the comments. Something more users need to learn to do. - Yashar, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11This site is trying really hard to have a web 2.0 look.
- joelhardi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+61989 called. It wants its "create animated gifs from pictures" tutorial back.

www.gifninja.com out too. pretty sweet site. PLUS it was the first of it's kind - PrimoTurbo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Lame advertisement.
Overall this isn't a big deal, there are tons of software that can make gifs with transparency and it's very easy to do.
There are other sites like this, like ConvertIcon. Which can convert an image into a windows icon. http://converticon.com - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah...........
try out www.gifninja.com it's only about 10,000 times better. You can do it with unlimited pics and even video too. - Bonekhan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Just... download a program like GIF Construction Set (my program of choice) and do it from there. It isn't THAT hard >_>
- luciana22, on 12/11/2007, -0/+0The name is ridiculous indeed :-)
I use animated gifs as forum avatars... Many people do - spisska, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3It's very simple and fast to prevent animation.
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/157/ - lordfoul, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The animated GIF must die.
- 88iou, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I wonder how this would work with sprite rips.
- luciana22, on 12/11/2007, -0/+0Ah, yes, thanks tybby :-)
- noreturn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2gickr? GICKR? Are you kidding me? Who even uses animated gif's these days?

http://www.sharewarecheap.com/FotoMorph_software_9 ... - mikoleg, on 10/30/2007, -0/+0The site has no right to be named WEB 2.0 i suggest you guys to check a bunch of other valuable resources... just google "drag and drop online gif animation" Web 2.0 and animations can be really cool done! Gickr is just one old crap.

- tonto69, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0can't microsoft gif animator do the same thing?
- tm8992, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1No transitions? Come on! :P
- michaelyork29, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Love it...will use everyday!
- luciana22, on 12/11/2007, -1/+0This sucks, have you seen the gallery? I actually was looking for the same thing on digg and I ran across this tool: http://www.image-tools.com/Animated-GIF-Generator- ...
I think it's much more intuitive plus you get to set the loop and the frame delay. And the best thing about it: NO WATERMARK :-)
I've also used it a gif decomposer. If you upload an animated gif it will reverse the process and break it into frames.
Try it out :-) - mkrn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0so true, thanks
- dognose, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1http://blibs.com/ much better animation studio.
- DebbieGibson, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Its easy did these three in no time at all:

http://www.chrisgrier.com/Jeep/yellow.gif
http://www.chrisgrier.com/Jeep/Dan.gif - thejohnfloyd, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I wonder if it would take you no time at all to hang yourself... Just a thought.
- punkrockxtian, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4I'm not even going to bother testing it right now. IMO, dynamic bandwidth hungry services like this feel the worst of the digg effect. Bookmarks FTW!
- VaporBro, on 10/26/2007, -6/+2Yes please do. I want to know second by second replay action. DO IT NOW
