DayDate, and self winding, are my soft spots. I remember Uma Thurman with the Rolex Perpetual Oyster on Kill Bill II. Now THEY were Hot! She and the watch, both. hehehe

The owner then bought the rights back from Seiko and revamped the watch...and voila.

Yar... Nixon watches are dope. I have had a couple, all good and not too $$$. The only drag is getting the batteries changed (you have to send them in). They are pretty accurate, just plain old quartz, no jewelled movements or anything. I have only had analog ones, though. The one I am wearing now is two years old and going strong. I had another for three years before the battery died and I wanted something else. As an aside, Nike watches are teh suck (I had two and they both fell apart). -
