Time for fios. - jmbrysk, on 08/28/2008, -0/+6We knew this day was coming. On the brightside, at 250GB per month, 90% of Comcast's userbase won't be affected anyway.
- mrand01, on 08/28/2008, -0/+4Wonder if their users will get rollover gigabytes
- foxhound009, on 08/28/2008, -2/+5WTF... 250 gb a month :O ... who's downloading that much....?!?
- jeremyduffy, on 08/28/2008, -0/+3It WILL happen. Most services that offer "Unlimited" have all kinds of legalistic text that let them say one thing and do another. It's like buying Whole Wheat bread that has white flour as its first ingredient (it happens).

Doubtful it will happen? Check it out.
Honestly tho, who uses that much? - xmjwx, on 08/28/2008, -1/+3A cap on "unlimited" broadband is a classic case of bait and switch and illegal. In other words, it's doubtful it will happen.
- AnotherDiggGuy, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1My guess is this has something with the Bush Administration taxing internet companies out the ass per GB of bandwidth used because oil got too expensive.
Thank god I use roadrunner. 10Mb download, unlimited bandwidth $47/month - mutant, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1This is so awesome.. I mean I'm really excited to hear that my business internet is now in jeopardy. I happen to run my business out of my house, I do a TON of PSD transfers, in a month, it's well over 250GB.. A call to Comcast proved that NOBODY in Comcast technical or account support had any idea this was coming. I tried to find out if business accounts were under the same restrictions and could find absolutely no answer.
Vonage customers are in for a real suprise at this turn of events. This sucks.
