- patterson, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16Am I the only one who came to this page kinda expecting ancient ruins that are from outer space?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10LMAO.........if they found ancient ruins in space I think it would be on every television network on earth. That being said, I will choose my headlines with those more literal minded folks in mind from now on.
- wax0r, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Here's a link to the actual images. No flash player required and alot faster than either sites.
I'm still in the process of uploading them so more and more should appear under the `Top related files` heading on the page:

from wikipedia [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newgrange]
1,000 years more ancient than the Stonehenge trilithons...
Every year, at the time of the winter solstice, the sun shines directly along this passage into the chamber for about 15 minutes as it rises. - npiv, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Damn, I thought they'd found "Ancient Ruins From Space".
Little dissapointed now :) - Zjm7891, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7http://www.spaceimaging.com.nyud.net:8080/gallery/ancientObservatories/default.htm
Because the site seems to be slowing down and has hit the front page - bobbo69, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I thought the remains of Babylon might be on there, but I suppose you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,,1391042,00.html - jsp317, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the title is miss leading got my attention. the media wouldn't tell us if there was. for some reason our government thinks we are scared of the fact aliens are real. i cant prove there real but with space as big as it is do you really think earth is the only planet with life. space is infinite. there is life out there whether its a single cell organism or a highly evolved species much smarter than us. i think we will find the single cell first because the higher evolved have all ready found us. if they have found us there not shooting at us or blowing up our city's. if we find them what will we do. space travel. damn that sounds cool. its getting closer if you digg like most of you do. you know there working on a warp drive now. damn we are living in exciting times. i get goose bumps just thinking about it. the space shuttle is about to be scraped wonder what the new one has. hyper drive or warp? cant wait to see.
- anonatron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3It is cool, nice high res images with a google maps-like interface. It also gives a few paragraphs about the sites, it could be a decent resource if they get more content.
- 15charmaxwtf, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Interesting, but I did not spend this money on a dell 2405 just to need magnifying glass out to examine some tiny window in the middle of my browser.
What's up with sites these days? either its a flash video, or a flash zoomy thing for pictures. Please, sites which do this thing, just waste some bandwidth and use the Internet properly by providing a link.
Even on the south park site I handily linked to a proper clip in the comments, and it gets deleted. - MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is like the same thing as google earth, only slower and not as good.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I also thought that I was going to see images of things found in space... floating around. Don't know how to explain why they would be up there just floating around, but that is one thing that I thought.
- acidzebra, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Anything that ends with "from Space" or "for Science!" is good with me.
- RobotCitizen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Very nice. At the moment a lot of the pics are of ruins in Mexico. Hopefully they'll add more stuff from the MidEast and Asia.
- cfazzini, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah I definately did. :(
- RawGraeme, on 01/05/2009, -0/+0I'm surprised no one (of authority) has challenged history as it is taught to our children. A lot more was happening in the Neolithic than cavemen clubbing women and grunting 'ug'. Not only should we know who built the megalithic structures - because they knew a lot more - but we should also know why ... or at least be seriously investigating it and producing a weekly tv show from our findings!
- freonchill, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2doh, i read the title as 'ancient ruins IN space'
i was about to get ready for some conspiracy theories. - yahoofrom, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Misleading title. Bury this comment if you think the title is not misleading.
- Ghanda, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1damn i could have sworn they found an ancient alien city
"if they found ancient ruins in space I think it would be on every television network on earth. "
TheKidd - you're not really serious about that are you? Mainstream news is the last place you would hear about it.
he's got a point the only thing on the news these days is people dying and violence no room for science anymore - Rangoth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Cool :) Now maybe they can use the same tech to find new stuff :)
- riskjunkie, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Thanks Bobbo69
This is an incredible article! A perfect example of how senseless and insensitive the NeoCon war machine really is. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1@riskjunkie: I was being sarcastic, actually. Couldn't you tell by the inflection in my text?
- valan, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4that's what I read too

- jhunt, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1hahaha That site is hilarious.
- PabloIV, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Alright, this one is a clear contender for: "Most misleading title EVER" vote with your Diggs.
- antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3Haha! I thought that as well, but realized what it was before I clicked the link. I'm glad I'm not alone, yet so very very alone.
- sumrandommember, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2So why not just use Google Maps?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2you're not alone! ;)
- slonkak, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0no, I must say I expected the same thing. too bad....
