- Erroneus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cute, now a version for PC or maybe even Symbian would be great :)
- orangetiki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Interesting if it was used in some demonic telemarketing sense, or say when you walk past a billboard selling something, BAM. now you got info on your phone.
- ivc-, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There is actually a program called BlueScanner that scans for bluetooth enabled devices, http://www.bluescanner.org/
- wyldtek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Do most people usually leave their bluetooth on all the time? They must have horrible battery life. I turn mine off unless I'm using my headset or synching. And even when its on, I don't put it in discoverable mode.
- rivviepop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Bloover doesn't work on a lot of devices; instead, check out BTExplorer here: http://bluejack.ru/soft/222/
Don't fear the Russian, the app is in English and is completely useable. I've used it on various JSR-82 enabled devices and it works great. - ivc-, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And there another program called BlueSweep, http://www.airmagnet.com/products/bluesweep.htm. It can run along side BlueScanner without problems. But neither of them can do anything else that just scan for devices.

Couldn't have said it better myself, although I don't put myself in hidden mode because I can't be bothered to get myself available and then transfer a pic or two. - tobias, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For Series60 symbian and some java enabled devices you can use Blooover, http://trifinite.org/trifinite_stuff_blooover.html

untrue. i still have a SE T610 which i've never shut BT off ever since i've enabled it when purchased new >2 years ago. sitting idle, BT doesn't suck much more juice at all. - swindmill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I leave BT enabled on my SE k700i. Along with Bluephone Elite on my Powerbook, I have complete control of my phone from my computer. Address Book with OS X gives you limited control over your phone via BT (SMS, dialing, answering)
- andrewr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So many useful comments, its unusual, thanks alot though for the links
- matx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is gonna be fun at uni
- LaCamiseta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great, so how long until some a-hole starts putting goatse pictures on everyone's phone?
- SmeRndmGy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0too many people use verizon, and verizon cripples the bluetooth on both of the bluetooth phones they sell. no file transfer. why let you do it for free like do with videos on my cingular phone when they can make you pay money for it? its interesting to see the bluetooth devices around, but the built in bluetooth software on any windows pc or pocket pc running windows mobile already allows you to do that.
- veritech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i'm gonna have fun with this in the next lecture

I believe there is a linux boot cd called Auditors Security collection that can snarf bluetooth enabled phones, yet I havent used it. - alterion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0or you could use auditor and gain full control?
- onishenko, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0to top it off, mac's that are bluetooth enabled such as my PowerBook have this function already built in. No digg
- Zeuser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Welcome to 10 months ago. This is old... very old. For god's sake, the program hasn't been updated since Jan 24th!
NO DIGG FOR U! - jamms, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0and we need this program because searching for bluetooth devices from your phone is already too hard? useless software.
