BitTorrent Community Mourns as Tracker Founder Passes Away

torrentfreak.com — Last month, TorrentFreak had the pleasure of interviewing Merrin, the founder of the 150,000 member MVGroup tracker. It is with great sadness that we bring the news that after a long struggle against increasing health problems, Merrin has passed away, aged just 32.

As suprnova and oink have fallen by the wayside, this is the last remaining old standby of the torrent sites. I'm completely unfamiliar with the situation but have no doubts that MVG will continue on successfully. Why? Because it is a great community with many helpful people - I see old huge and unseeded torrent series get fully reseeded from a few people asking politely. RIP Merrin.

    It's very sad to see that it's founder has passed away. RIP
