- RedLion, on 10/12/2007, -4/+39schestowitz's To-Do List:
1. Find any story regarding Microsoft
2. Create useless comments criticizing every thing MS does filling them with endless cut&pastes from other websites
3. Add some kind of conspiracy theories like "Microsoft shills are paid to attack me" (like you did in the marvellous first comment of http://www.digg.com/software/Microsoft_hires_standards_expert_to_work_on_Wikipedia_entry_on_ODF_OOXML )

- Humptydank, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Bill Gates' To-Do List:
1. Buy Malaysia and change it to Bilaysia
2. Genetically engineer a real Lara Croft, but without all the attitude.
3. Avoid Warren Buffet, who keeps asking why AIDS isn't cured yet.
4. Show people how much better Minesweeper is in Vista than in XP.
5. Release the top-secret fuPhone to compete with Apple. - zadadka, on 10/12/2007, -1/+87. Wake up.
- jus1haz2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Do not click its spam with alot of ads!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11I love Microsoft. They've proven to the world time and time again that they know how to run a massively successful business. I love their games division. I love the people that work there.
But I swear, if Bill Gates actually lets that certifiable lunatic Steve Balmer run the company then I've lost all hope for them. - Avalontor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5@shadowstorm,
yes, he basically leaves feel good stuff to his wife and father in-law. you know giving billions to save children and cure disease.
But hey whatever floats your boat. - Greyarea, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6It was a C-NET poll on 'When are you buying Vista, if at all?' I think.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Only the idiots from open source don't care about profits. They grow their salaries in farms.
- Dundasbro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4What no jetpacks???
- jus1haz2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3More god damn spam!
- GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7It is just a video of him sitting upright, hugging his knees, telling her how good it will be when it finally gets there...
- selphishnerd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"...It's too soon to really decide what those things will be. I'd be surprised if some things related to search or tablet PCs aren't in there. It's up to Steve to think..."
Sure he means Balmer, but we all know Jobs fits that better. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Wow. I'm honored do be called a "Microsoft shill" by schestowitz in the article RedLion cited. This clueless teenager is so full of ***** that what he writes is exactly the opposite of truth.
- trenchMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Does the whiskey wash the poop off?
- weizilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I thought someone had a spy cam and found his real to-do list that he keeps at home
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I wasn't interested in Vista just yet. But you've convinced me. I'm getting it in spite of people like you.
- GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Walking off the set was the only way he could keep his password safe!!
- Vigacmoe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@kernelkurtz
you wanna watch that? - shadowstorm, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5notice how the to-do-list in the article is filled with ways of increasing profit, but void of ways to make the customer happy (such as improving their products by fixing problems)
- benijuana, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4adapt company to run on souls, saving environment
- ajhops, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You're a mac/linux fanboy!
- macbookpromat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Man seriously, there's only one true thing Bill Gates should do, sit back and enjoy his money.
- dickrichie, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Bill gates actual to do list...
1) Get hands on copy of leopard 10.5
2) Copy features
3) Schedule myself on news shows where Im uncomfortable and its visually obvious.
4) Lie and tell the world Microsoft innovated these and the features are found no where else.
5) Question the writers o grandmas boy about the star of that movie and if like me he is really a robot AND if he ever got his robot arms, man that would be cool.
6) Prank call Steve Jobs (order 4000 pizzas delivered to infinite loop)
7) Talk to Balmer about the ZuPhone... what a great name
8) Buy Balmer antiperspirant man that guy is smelly when he sweets (which is all the time).
9) Send in that comic book ad for X-ray glasses.
10) Watch real Genius again, The Kent guy is so studly and cool oh and he talks to god! - ICSU, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Notice how you know nothing about business. Satisfying customers -- increase in profit. So if he talks about increasing profits, he is talking about doing better thing for the customers.
Do you doubt that Windows Vista (once users are ready for it) is better than XP? Or that Office 07 is better 03?
Don't like it, don't buy it.
-- I'm aware of MS's monopolistic practices and all, but that's for another debate. - pantless113, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2call me a mac/linux fanboy, but vista really isnt that great of an operating system... then again that could be the pirate in me talking... anyways...
did anyone else get the ad next to the article as a mac ad?
im curious cuz i did and that is funny as all hell. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I think that Microsoft is on the right track, Vista is clearly a better OS than XP, giving some time for hardware, drivers, and software to catch up, it can be a very good OS. Office live is also a very good concept, i'm using windows live mail right now and it is working great. And the xbox 360 is just great, i'm not a big console guy but i got the 360 ($100 from yahoo:)) just for Gears of War, that game is awesome. People can knock MS all they want, but they really try to put out quality products lately.
- yonis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Give it a rest.
- adolfojp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You cannot make profits without happy customers.
- GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4What problems does Vista have that are the fault of Microsoft?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Emanji, I'm digging you down because you were one of the thousand bastards that got one when I didn't.
- Humptydank, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Yeah, there are three steps in a PC user switching to a Mac:
1. "That's it, I've had it, I'm switching to a Mac!"
2. Drive to store.
3. "Wait, it's how much?" - Myztry, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Vista. What's the big deal. I've been running the final for nearly two months and it is not impressive. Bit of glam maybe. Most of the time it's the programs compulsory bundled with the Operating System that is what people (including Bill) are actually talking about. Media Player, Messenger, Movie Maker, Internet Explorer, etc aren't included for your benefit. They're solely there to weaken the competition by depriving income and forcing a defacto standard for all the protocols, formats, applications, etc that Microsoft own the rights too and can extort income from. The whole windows line is a trojan horse. The functionallity of an OS is actually quite boring, and all the woohoo bits should really exists an an 'optional extras' disc. Unfortunately the imitate, exterminate and dominate approach works quite well.
- ernieJohnston, on 10/12/2007, -4/+22007cNet iPTv - The use of the Internet means it doesn't matter how many people are watching it. We can bring it down to you. We get rid of these limitations, the time limitations and the number of channel limitations that the old broadcast approach forced us all into.
