BBC signs Web 2.0 agreement with Microsoft

news.bbc.co.uk — The BBC has signed a memorandum of understanding agreement with Microsoft to explore ways of developing its digital services. This includes plans for next-generation web 2.0 and ways to share online content in the future. They are also speaking to other companies, including Real Networks, IBM and the makers of the virtual world Second Life.

Given that this deal will involve my License fee being spent to invest in that exploration I can only hope that the results are non restrictive and that they carry no DRM or Windows Media restrictions which would limit my access and enjoyment of that content. Interstestingly theres no where on the news article to allow people to comment.
