My, how self important of you. You've joined the long list of morons that hold up apples and call them oranges. - TSCheredar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12"I don't think there is a better list." ORLY? How about a list that actually lets you see what your looking at.
- verge, on 10/10/2007, -4/+15I'm laughing cause I had to disable 2 sites in script-blocker to see the list. I'm not 2.0 enough, I guess? There's always tomorrow. Thanks for submitting.
- ButtonMonkey, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10I don't think that the title is accurate.
- Jwoey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5He didn't say they did. But nice reflex comment.
- OneAndOnlySnob, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Buried for ridiculous use of the term "Office 2.0".
- dtreichler, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4awesome (adj.): Causing awe or terror; inspiring wonder or excitement.
- arbulus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4BREAKING! MUST READ: Top Ten Office 2.0 Apps from Steve Jobs Keynote on How to Run Linux on the iPhone while writing Ron Paul Front Page Headlines [PICS: Best EVAR!]
- rationalist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Dugg down for only using "Awesome" and not "MUST READ," "BEST EVER," "TOP TEN," "EXCLUSIVE PS3," multiple Exclamation!!! Points!!!!!!, "NSFW," oh, and and "RONPAULOMG" in the title.
- jtb4, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I throw up just a little bit in my mouth every time I hear Web 2.0 or Networking 2.0, and now Office 2.0
Sames goes for the word "Blogosphere" - kibiz0r, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Good call, Nostradamus.
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Absolutely true. I have a bunch of websites sitting in front of me, of which I have to click on each and every single one to find out what they're about, when almost indefinitely I know some of them have nothing to do with me.
- Zenex, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Cool list, i've never heard of this "Error 999". Is that a new word processor?
- paulmike3, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4http://www.duggmirror.com/tech_news/Awesome_List_of_Office_2_0_Web_Applications/
- kibiz0r, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yeah, it uses the PEBKAC protocol.
- arbulus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I really hate the word "netizen" too, but I like the sentiment behind it. Can we come up with another word for that but one that isn't so inane?
- JDRay, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yeah, the list is impressive, but not awesome. It would have been "awesomer" if it had included a blurb indicating why I would care about the particular app, how it differentiates itself from its bretheren, etc. The compiler of the list could have probably grabbed text like this from the home page of each app's web site and not had to come up with it themselves.
- luckyschop, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1IT|Redux has been around for a very long time. Still, a good list nonetheless. They are covering a niche in the ***2.0 arena that no one that I know of is really covering. Although Arrington and a couple others occasionally review some of the same apps.
- dreesemonkey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1....While masturbating over the Rosey Palm Ubuntu release.
- thinkingserious, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Check the footer for the credits. You'll find some cool GPL'ed icons there.
- in2deep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Awesome!
- paulmike3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Not if it's crappy content that makes it to the front page for some reason. In which case, it may have 50 diggs, but have as many hits as a 1000 digg story. :P
- slapthemonkey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1well nice list.....
- phlogiston99, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1There no content on the Internet anymore. Only lists. Reminds me of the fan pages of yore, with 0 contents but eleventy circular links to other fan sites.
- ani625, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3I think there is a better list. Therfore i am.
- arbulus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2We should name this effect. The instance where someone says "It'll never make it to the front page" and the story always does. Ah, there it is: we'll call it Womz Law and place it up there with the greats of Godwin's Law and the Streisand Effect.
- acu8509, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2buried for stealing compiz logo
- obvious, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Simple Spark has a much larger list that's fully search able. Over 4500 web apps in total. Of course, I'm biased since i work there.
http://simplespark.com - RayPrivett, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1okay, so the title is a little too cute and diggy for its own good but it's still a useful list
- drgmdp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1too ***** long to be useful. i'm not gonna try everyone of those sites just to see which one i like
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1lol Womz law is in full effect I see.
- JasonCox, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Dugg because we broke Yahoo.
- rasterbator, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1maybe it should be called Office | Part Deux
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1it looks like it could be a good site, but there are far too many useless web applications on the front page to make it useful. For instance, the web app that hosts myspace pictures? Seriously your wasting my time with stuff like that.
If you want, maybe you can hire me, I'll help you along........ - p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Diggs don't DIRECTLY equal page views, but don't you think there is some sort of relativity? For instance, don't you think a story that has 1000 diggs would have much more page views than a a story with only 50 diggs? I mean that only makes sense though.......
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Ben Stiller movie quotes FTW
- mattcoady, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Would've been nice if they give a short description of what these sites offer.
- thinkingserious, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Why not?
- paulmike3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1The point was, diggs don't take servers down, hits do. Would he have said something if it went down after 500 diggs and an equal number of hits?
- awizeman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2What about www.poxt.com - its new but I think awesome.
- Boxe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I am not able to access this site....I wonder how it reached upto this point...
- MikeonTV, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3No Digg? No Digg!
- markdbean, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Try http://o20db.com for the full list.
- stephenscott, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0that site is littered with scripts just to view the flippin page, very NOT web 2.0.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Wow, this might almost make me want to try it out... almost.
They were spouting on their front page about maybe using it on the iphone which turned the "almost" into "OMFG bury! " - shiftyroach, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0wow, a web 2.0 list that's not on mashable.com
- markdbean, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Awesome Office 2.0 portal at http://office20.com
- lazlohenry, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Great list!
