Posting sounds like a cheap advertisement. - ADStraktion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh... Wow...
I knew I shouldn't have told Curtiss about this...
In the future I'll have to make sure I don't reveal my other bookmarks to him.
It saddens me to see the site suffer from being [)166z0|2[), but I sense it'll pull through.
Being a Photoshop user myself, I know that it's just as easy to do the same, or even better looking effects.
But that requires one to know how to use PS.
Or more importantly, it requires one to have PS.
This site is great for certain people:
- Those who's skills in PS peak at messing around with filters and Liquefy
- Those who can't use PS/PSP
- Those who are too lazy to do the work themselves (ie: me)
- Those who just want to waste time (I spent at least an hour messing around with variations of one photo...)
Anywho, good site, check it out.
...
And CJ, in the future, refrain from putting great amounts stress on my favorite sites... - SVPirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just wehat I always wanted!! (Goes away to convert pictures of certain famous people into Matrix code)
- SVPirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Actually the Matrix one is a bit lame as it';s not very high resolution, the ASCII one rules though
- curtissthompson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes Coleman (ADStraktion), while I know you want this site not to suffer, especially as you use love to use it, but it is only fair to share! Besides, yes the site was not designed to handle the Digg Effect, but it is only a very short period of time in which this occurs, and everyone will be able to enjoy it more as its popularity is dispersed over a greater amount of time!
- Gregd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1darn it. won't load. Can't digg it until it loads...

- darkgray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Um, I'm the owner of the website mentioned and thought I'd comment a bit on .. well, on the comments. If you get a timeout when trying to load anything, it's 99% because of the extremely crappy D-Link 614+ router that sits between the web server and the internet. For some reason, it will simply decide to ignore 10% of incoming requests. It sucks, and I updated the firmware (tried half a billion versions), but it simply keeps dropping requests. So, just hit refresh, and it should work. Hopefully. It's a hobby thing, and it's free, so I don't really generate the big bucks to upgrade to a better router. :)
I didn't submit the thingie, and the site has been running since 2002, so it's not an advert either. Enjoy, anyhow. - shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0old as anything but still real good and in need of a digg
- 01Techman10, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0darn want to try it but's being dugg

- TechSamurai, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The site is still down, but here is the program I use for conversions:
http://www.irfanview.com/
With the plugin, you can just right-click on a file to convert it. - spacebar14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Holy *****! This is so cool!
I just plop in a pic of my girlf, type her name into the "characters" box and presto, it happens automagically!
Wow! - mrjeffery, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Diggbuggery in action.

- redavni, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Hi, could everyone please stop clicking on the link for the next 60 seconds while I check it out?
Thanks! - cabletool, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Its getting insane the amount of bookmarks I have to check later when their bandwith is restored from the DIGGAFFECTSPLOSION.
- ZacT1984, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I can't get it to load either. Must be too much traffic
- systemghost, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0diggpocalypse.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I've been to this site before, and it is SLOW. So it doesn't matter if there is a digg effect, it's always slow.
- systemghost, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0diggdotted.
haw haw haw. - h3adstr0ng, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0site is going slow already... 26 diggs. owned.

digg++ - tastypastry, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I hate it when people say slashdotted. This isnt /. its Digg.

- llbbl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Irfanview is GREAT I highly suggest everyone use that instead of this other program. It is best used if set as default program to open all of your images on your hard drive.
- kewldude606, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Using the Google cache to load it...and all I see so far is an HTML version that was converted back to a GIF so that it loads faster. That's what the site says:
"This is an image of a girl that has been converted into an HTML document (shown in .GIF because it loads faster, see the Heart-sample for a true HTML image)." - RUFFyamahaRYDER, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Diggled.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0i just use Adobe Photoshop. It converts pretty well for me.
- GoFlyaKite, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I think DIGG should be stopped Now! It's unforgivable how it takes these bandwidth poor sites down that never hurt anyone...
Hehe :) - Insimbi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0digg effect :(
- AToMusK, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0CAUSE OF DEATH: DIGGEFFECTED IN THE UPPER CHEST CAVITY, THE LOWER GROIN AREA, PLUS A LITTLE IN THE CEREBRAL CORTEX
- GarySwager, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I can imagine situations where a separate program isn't allowed. In those cases this seems a good alternative.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It's back online now.
It may sound like a cheap advertisement, but it is pretty cool.
