- ludwik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They can't arrest thousands of people. They'll immediately know that something is wrong.
What they won't know is who has really searched for "falun gong" so we'll... protect people. And Yahoo! will have to stop this advanced censoring system... - splasho, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2A demonstration of the is at http://splasho.com/blog/2006/07/05/i-can-stop-you-searching/ (not a direct link to iframe containing page)
(This isn't spam, honestly, I thought an example of how simple it was would be of interest) - RBotros, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1u're right .. mayb it could hurt the chinese searchers ..
but the higher goal is to stop yahoo's system of banning the ip..
i think if this was done often enough, they won't b able to distinguish between innocent and guilty ppl and therefor the goverment will have to give up and try to cencor in another way. - csew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is ridiculous since it is not Yahoo.cn's fault. It is because of China Govt's fire wall project. If you try the same query on Google.cn and Baidu.com or any other search engines in China, you get the same problem. Try it and you will know the truth!
- pksynths, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I don't think this will actually help anyone in China. Your basically associating their IP address with censored search terms that can send them to jail. A lot of innocent people could get hurt before China realizes what is happening and than what?? How can they seperate the innocent from the guilty?? They would and probably let them all rot in jail. It's not like Chinca actually cares about it's own people.
