Do I go through one complete path and reach the end or do I read each alternative while simultaneously monitoring how each path diverges and converges back in the end? On the one hand, I could easily follow through to the end and realize the joke. However, once that has been uncovered, the subsequent paths will have a diminished value since they will be stained with a deterministic directionality from the final joke of the previous path.

    Conclusion: I'm spending Valentine's Day alone.
