- Devotia, on 12/30/2007, -1/+17The fake identity generator seems nice, but I've always been good with Stick Stickly, PO Box 963, New York City, New York State 10108.
- jkremer3, on 12/30/2007, -1/+14Well, bugmenot isn't new to me, but some of the rest of these are, and sound really useful. Most notably, the email.
- Ninjab3ar, on 12/30/2007, -1/+11Not on the list but also very useful is:
http://www.guerrillamail.com/
Disposable email that deletes itself after 15 minutes. You can increase the time if need be. - scabbers, on 12/30/2007, -1/+10That's great until every site admin adds a filter for mintemail
- nikhilnidhi, on 12/30/2007, -0/+7I always use http://www.mailinator.com
- Maddoktor2, on 12/30/2007, -0/+7I've never heard of numbr, but am definitely liking it - that one's well worth looking into. Dugg for that little gem. :-)
- boflaade, on 12/30/2007, -1/+7I've got seven browsers on my computer and can't get one to give me an anonymous email address. I'm Canadian but must be considered an "American" in that case.
- bigsteve, on 12/30/2007, -1/+6You could use Firefox to click the link and read the article before posting...
- pandatacular, on 12/30/2007, -0/+4I totally still have that jingle memorized. It still reminds me of kool aid slushies and hot summer days :]
- TangentThought, on 12/30/2007, -0/+4Don't forget http://www.2prong.com
- insanebrain, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3http://spam.la
- rkiga, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3i've used minutemail and guerrillamail, but i prefer the firefox extension trashmail
just right-click any form and it generates a disposable e-mail address that forwards a limited number of messages to your real e-mail. you tell it how many e-mails to forward and how long the account should stay active, or just leave the defaults from last time. only annoying thing is that every time you create an account, it e-mails you reminding you what your address is, but u can filter it out easily by title in you e-mail client
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/181 ... - charlietuna, on 12/30/2007, -1/+3Haven't you heard? Digg is run by the CIA and the NSA, Duggmirror is FSB and Fark is Mossad.
- blackjack75, on 12/30/2007, -1/+3Can't beat the good ole mailinator.com though. (Although I noticed some websites actually refused e-mails @mailinator.com).
They should have a hosting service... like you buy a domain for you and some friend and use it with their service. - anogenic, on 12/30/2007, -1/+3fakenamegenerator.com is funny when you select Switzerland as your country. There are 3 linguistic areas in Switzerland and it mixes them all up, giving you an italian street name in a german town, or a german street name in a french town.
- jeremynicolas, on 12/30/2007, -2/+3dodgit.com is a lot better than mintemail
- TheHolyLancer, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1err why isn't the firefo add-on, temporary inbox there? i mean it gives up an random email address, not just one that is set to a specific domain that could be blocked. Eg.
b2ftyqw76sxwkc7@mail.misterpinball.de
r784m7e4rsgx02r@mx0.wwwnew.eu
etib4391xxiwzt3@golfilla.info
so they cannot simply block a specific domain like @AOL.com - roberto_deneero, on 12/30/2007, -1/+2Excellent post.
- supermanred, on 12/30/2007, -1/+2And all of them run by the NSA and CIA.
- coldfusion1970, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1Dont worry some of the free ones change their domain names on a regular basis.
- ftgba2244, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1http://www.spaml.com works great for quick registration
- dark_ryan, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1I've been using PrivatePhone, and it seems to work pretty good. Though i wouldn't suggest giving them your main email address as I think they sell it (people here should setup a sign-up only email address for everything but commerce and banking).
- tropican8, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1mintemail is based on the code from 2prong. If mintemail gets filtered, you could always switch to 2prong, which changes their domain every couple weeks. It has almost the exact same UI.
- akise, on 12/30/2007, -1/+2http://www.spamgourmet.com - Disposable email addresses.
- SidFishes, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1they missed a good one http://spamavert.com/ (available as a FF extension)
- boflaade, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1I'm not particular about who's spam I ban.
- boflaade, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1I use to use @ nospam when they were up. When using newsgroups, I could tell which one would be giving me the spam. Nospam would alert my email client when it received anything. One day, a particular newsgroup was responsible for 27 spam messages.
- Valacar, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1I like http://dodgit.com/ for free disposable email...no signup, rss feed, and a google-esque barebones site design.
- iofthestorm, on 12/30/2007, -1/+2This is actually pretty useful. I knew about bugmenot but mintemail sounds nice for those sites that bugmenot doesn't have an account for. Also, I wonder how the numbr service works (web 2.0 removal of vowels ftl) because that sounds like a sketchy/semi-legal service to provide.
- VicTheKnife, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1Bless that damn popsicle stick. I wish Salute Your Shorts was still on.
- waveking, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1I have been using http://www.mailinator.com/ since long now.... It's painless... you dont even need to contact this service to register for a new account.... create any email account anytime as per need
- BrianCrosbie, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1Drop.io is the *****. Straight up.
- hugejimmy, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1I've always used guerrillamail.com for sign ups to new sites very useful
- batmanjb, on 07/13/2009, -0/+1it is terrible, very disgusted with the system
- JudgeMonkey, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1Damn you straight to hell. Now it's never going to leave my brain!!!!!!!

- roberto_deneero, on 12/30/2007, -2/+2So is your mom.
- inactive, on 12/30/2007, -2/+2Only the Russian ones....Sick of those knobs spamming my clients. Russia = Banned. China = Banned....
- SQLQuery, on 12/30/2007, -0/+0Nice find. Could definitely use this.
- jerryinaustintx, on 01/02/2008, -0/+0you are so right! i've come to realize that americans are the reason for every hungry child on earth. the stupidity of americans is the reason why ethopians are thin. Dammit, its americans faults that mosquitos cause malaria!
- Frosty122, on 12/30/2007, -2/+2I don't REMEMBER the last time i got spam in my inbox, since I switched to gmail (that's not to say I don't get it, I however cannot remember the last time it's happened).
- marybaboo, on 12/30/2007, -1/+1They didn't talk about 10 Minute Mail: http://www.tinyduck.com/quack/10_Minute_Mail

- 3210, on 12/30/2007, -1/+1The article cites some very useful tools that can come very handy when something like this is needed. It is a great article to bookmark, as you may need to use one of these methods at some time in the future for what ever reason.
- ravimohanv, on 12/30/2007, -0/+0Interesting article on keeping e.mail free of spam
- bidgiggy, on 12/30/2007, -0/+0There is also
